While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Unbearable suffering of civilians in Gaza demands end to violence, says UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

RAMALLAH, Sunday, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) -

The brutal resumption of hostilities in Gaza and its terrifying impact on civilians underscore once again the need for the violence to end, and for a political solution to be found that is built on the only viable long-term basis – the full respect of the human rights of Palestinians and Israelis, UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk said on Sunday.

“Silence the guns and return to dialogue – the suffering inflicted on civilians is too much to bear. More violence is not the answer. It will bring neither peace nor security,” said Türk, voicing deep concern that negotiations towards a continuation of last week’s pause had reportedly reached an impasse.

Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed by Israeli bombardments since the hostilities resumed on Friday, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Aid was completely blocked from entering Gaza through Rafa'h on Friday, and very restricted on Saturday. As a result, the already limited aid operations within Gaza largely halted, resulting in a further breakdown of overburdened essential services.

The High Commissioner expressed grave fears that the renewed and intensified hostilities after a seven-day pause would lead to even more death, disease, and destruction than seen so far.

“As a result of Israel’s conduct of hostilities and its orders for people to leave the north and parts of the south, hundreds of thousands are being confined into ever smaller areas in southern Gaza without proper sanitation, access to sufficient food, water and health supplies, even as bombs rain down around them,” Türk said.

“I repeat, there is no safe place in Gaza.”

“International humanitarian law and human rights law are clear that protection of civilians comes first and that rapid, unimpeded humanitarian access through all possible means must be facilitated to alleviate suffering of civilians,” he stressed.

The UN Human Rights Chief also highlighted how hundreds of thousands of people remaining in northern Gaza are at renewed risk of bombardment and continue to be deprived of food and other essentials. Given this appalling situation and the orders to move south, people are essentially being forced to move, in what appears to be an attempt to empty northern Gaza of Palestinians.

“The world bore witness of week upon week of horror since this latest crisis began, marked by extremely grave concerns around wilful killing of civilians, firing of indiscriminate rockets, indiscriminate attacks using explosive weapons with wide-area effects in populated areas, forms of collective punishment, obstruction of humanitarian aid, and hostage-taking – all forbidden under international law,” said Türk.

Extremely serious allegations of multiple and grave breaches of international law must be fully investigated and those responsible held to account, he said. Where national authorities prove unwilling or unable to carry out such investigations and prosecutions, international investigation is necessary.

Member States must do everything in their power to ensure all parties comply with their obligations under international law and prevent commission of international crimes.

“The time to change course is now. Those that choose to flout international law are on notice that accountability will be served. No-one is above the law,” said the High Commissioner.

Protesters in Colorado demand shutdown of annual Jewish National Fund conference

DENVER, COLORADO, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) -

In an expression of solidarity with the people of Palestine, who are currently facing a brutal Israeli war of genocide, hundreds of activists in the U.S. State of Colorado have been campaigning for the shutdown of the annual conference of the Jewish National Fund (JNF).

For several days, demonstrators have been gathering outside the venue of the JNF's annual conference in Denver, decrying Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza. The protesters aim to highlight the atrocities Israel is committing and to oppose the fundraising efforts for projects associated with the Israeli ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

The JNF's annual conference is a prominent event for fundraising initiatives that support projects associated with land expropriation and settlement expansion in Palestine. Activists present at the protest believe that by disrupting this conference, they can draw attention to the injustices being practiced against the Palestinian people.

Over 40 community organizations have signed a letter condemning the JNF conference and rejecting its continuation, asserting that it contributes to the ongoing support for Israel's racist practices.

The Jewish National Fund, established in the early 20th century, is considered the largest organization supporting land confiscation and the displacement of the Palestinian people. The organization plays a key role in expanding colonial settlements throughout Palestine.

The ongoing protests in Colorado reflect a broader global sentiment condemning Israeli atrocities and advocating for Palestinian rights.

Euro-Med deplores Israel’s escalation of its genocide in Gaza

Sunday 3-December-2023, GENEVA, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has condemned Israel’s escalation of its massive destruction of entire residential blocks and its mass killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Saturday, Euro-Med described Saturday’s attacks on Gaza as the “deadliest day since Israel started its genocidal war on October 7,” stressing that such attacks portend Israel’s use of a more brutal approach to impose its political and military will at the expense of civilians’ blood and property.

Euro-Med said it documented a series of Israeli aerial attacks, which it described as “fire belts,” on the areas of Shuja’iya, Jabalya, and Bait Lahya, affirming that these airstrikes pounded and leveled entire populated blocks over the heads of their residents and buried them under the rubble.

Rescue workers told a Euro-Med team that they received information about hundreds of casualties and missing persons following aerial and artillery attacks on about 50 residential buildings and houses in the densely populated neighborhood of al-Shuja’iya, east of Gaza.

Euro-Med also documented a horrific massacre that happened on Saturday in Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza, where Israeli warplanes bombed a multi-story building crammed with displaced families, killing and injuring dozens of people.

In light of the severity of the ongoing bloodbath in Gaza, Euro-Med reiterated its appeal to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, who visited Ramallah on Saturday, to uphold the principles of international justice and hold Israel accountable for its war crimes.

Colombian President Petro describes Israeli airstrikes on Dair El-Bala'h as Nazi practices

BOGOTA, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has described Israeli airstrikes on the city of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip as "Nazi practices."

In a tweet posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, President Petro accompanied his message with footage of the areas subjected to Israeli bombardment, stating, "They claim this is not Nazi-like; killing 5,300 Palestinian boys and girls is a Nazi practice, despite the West's reluctance to acknowledge this truth."

This is not the first time President Petro has drawn parallels between Israeli atrocities and Nazi practices. He previously characterized Israeli airstrikes on Gaza as "Nazi-like" and asserted that Gaza is witnessing a genocide.

The comments from President Petro reflect the growing international condemnation of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, with at least 16,000 civilians, predominantly civilians, murdered so far.

More civilian casualties across Gaza as the Israeli genocide campaign persists

GAZA, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

Dozens of Palestinian innocent civilians, including children, were brutally massacred and many others injured in a series of Israeli genocidalairstrikes this afternoon on various areas in the Gaza Strip, according to local and medical reports.

WAFA correspondent reported that more than 60 people were killed in the southern regions of Gaza, specifically in Khan Younus, after Israeli warplanes targeted multiple areas in the east and center of the city, leading to multiple casualties.

He added that Israeli reconnaissance planes bombed a house belonging to the Farra family in the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younus, resulting in the death of two civilians. The warplanes also targeted a residential square in the Al-Buraij refugee camp, in central Gaza, resulting in several casualties who were transferred to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

In Gaza City, warplanes bombed the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja'iya, causing the murder and injury of dozens of civilians. Many of them were taken to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, with a significant number of innocent civilians feared trapped under the rubble.

Israeli artillery also targeted two civilian vehicles on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza. In the northern part of the Strip, warplanes attacked houses in Jabalya refugee camp and the town of Bait Lahya, leading to dozens of fatalities and injuries, who were transported to local hospitals, including the Indonesian, Kamal 'Adwan, and Al-'Awda in the northern Gaza Strip.

Aerial bombardment is accompanied by shelling from artillery and naval ships on various neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip, especially in the eastern and western coastal areas. He noted that there are many injuries with bone fractures and other serious injuries to the chest and abdomen, despite the limited resources and the scarcity of specialists, which threatens to halt the emergency services at the hospital.

Al-Hams pointed out that the hospital's capacity has declined from 63 beds to 42 after the pediatric department went out of service and is undergoing rehabilitation to accommodate the wounded.

Nonstop Israeli genocidal bombardment across Gaza claims more innocent civilian lives

GAZA, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

Scores of innocent Palestinian civilians have been savagely murdered and many others injured in an ongoing series of Israeli genocidal attacks since last night targeting the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air, according to local and medical reports.

The relentless Israeli bombardments have resulted in the destruction of numerous homes, buildings, residential apartments, and both public and private properties.

In Gaza City, local sources reported that several civilians were killed and others injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.

Also in Gaza City, Israeli warplanes targeted six houses belonging to the Dahshan and Al-'Akka families in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, resulting in dozens of casualties and injuries. Many civilians are reportedly trapped under the rubble.

The Israeli military further bombed a house in the Nadeem area of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Airstrikes were also reported in the vicinity of the Kamal 'Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

Meantime, Israeli warplanes carried out multiple air raids on Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza simultaneously with shelling targeting residential squares from Israeli tank units.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation military bombarded the Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza with missile shells, leaving a trail of devastation and loss of innocent lives, with many feared dead under the rubble of destroyed homes.

Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling also targeted the city of Khan Younus in southern Gaza, causing casualties among civilians. Additionally, several homes in the town of Al-Qarara and the eastern and coastal areas have been targeted by Israeli bombardment.

Furthermore, the homes of the Abu Eita and Abu Zaytoun families in northern Gaza were hit by Israeli airstrikes.

Due to the severe disruptions of telecommunications, there are no final data regarding the number of casualties, as many Israeli airstrikes and their tragic consequences across the badly hit territory go unreported.

So far until today, at least 16,000 deaths and over 40,000 injuries have been documented, with as many as 7,000 feared dead under the debris of destroyed homes.

The relentless Israeli genocide campaign has plunged Gaza into a humanitarian crisis, with rescue teams facing challenges in accessing affected areas due to the intensity of the attacks.

RAFAH, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

The first attack occurred in Al-Buraij refugee camp, located in the central Gaza Strip, where an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building. Seven civilians were confirmed murdered, with additional injuries reported. Among the victims were innocent children and women.

Israeli occupation regime warplanes bomb homes in Nusayrat refugee camp, claiming 14 innocent lives

GAZA, Saturday, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) -

At least 13 innocent civilians, including children and women, were brutally massacred tonight and many others were injured in a barrage of Israeli genocidal airstrikes targeting multiple homes in Nusayrat refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed the residences of the 'Assar and Zaqqout families in the refugee camp, leaving a minimum of 13 civilian casualties. The toll is expected to rise as rescue efforts continue to extract survivors from the debris.

The victims were rushed to Al-'Awda Hospital in the central province of Gaza, while many others remain trapped under the rubble.

In addition to the assault on the Nusayrat refugee camp, Israeli fighter jets targeted a residential building in the Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. The strike resulted in further casualties, local sources mentioned, with both fatalities and injuries reported.

The wounded were promptly transported to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on Gaza on October 7, over 16,000 Palestinians, including 6,500 children and more than 4,500 women, have been killed by Israeli aerial or artillery bombardment, according to non-final estimates. Additionally, over 38,000 individuals have been wounded.

Meantime, thousands of civilians remain unaccounted for, with fears mounting that many may have perished beneath the rubble of their homes.

Despite continuous efforts by emergency and rescue teams, the retrieval of these individuals has proven challenging amid the severe shortage of civil defense equipment under Israel's relentless aggression on the enclave.

Israeli occupation regime fighter jets also targeted the home of the Nujali family in the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younus, leading to the murder of 10 civilians, mostly women and children.

WAFA correspondent said entire squares in the city of Khan Younus were forcibly evacuated at Israeli military orders, significantly increasing the number of the displaced population.

In Gaza City, over 150 civilians were killed in the Shuja'iya neighborhood, where Israeli warplanes bombarded an entire residential block, according to local and medical reports.

It was reported that large numbers of victims and wounded were transported to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, while many others remained under the rubble, in the aftermath of the Israeli airstrikes in the city.

In the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, the Israeli war machine perpetrated several massacres by bombing houses belonging to the Shuhada, Al-Sawafeeri, and Al-Najjar families.

Several civilians also lost their lives in other neighborhoods of Gaza City, including Yarmouk, Nasr, and Shaikh Radhwan, amid devastating destruction to homes and infrastructure by the Israeli war machinery.

Eyewitnesses reported the murder of at least six civilians and the injury of more than 20 others due to the Israeli airstrikes targeting a petrol station in the Jabalya refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces committed a previous massacre in the Jabalya refugee camp, where approximately 100 civilians were killed in a missile strike targeting a residential building belonging to the Al-Obeid family. Dozens were injured, and there are still missing individuals under the rubble.

Israeli warplanes also targeted several inhabited houses in the Bait Lahya city, leading to the death and injury of dozens of people.

Ambulance vehicles are also facing difficulties reaching the targeted areas, prompting local residents to transport the injured using animal-pulled carts animals and private vehicles to hospitals.

Israel escalates its crackdown on Palestinian abductees amidst aggression on Gaza

RAMALLAH, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

The pace of assaults on Palestinian detainees inside Israeli occupation prisons has been steadily on the rise since the outbreak of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority said today.

The Prisoners Affairs Authority explained in a press statement that the Israeli prison administration is preventing family visits and legal representation, completely isolating detainees from the outside world. During the same period, six detainees have lost their lives due to severe torture.

Sections within the prisons witness almost daily raids where heavily armed Israeli soldiers brutally attack detainees using batons, rifles, tear gas, and rubber-coated bullets, resulting in injuries ranging from bruises and contusions to deep wounds, along with fractures in the limbs.

According to the Authority, "Israeli occupation soldiers deliberately vandalize the homes of detainees during arrest raids. This includes violent beatings from the moment of arrest to the investigation and imprisonment stages. The detainees face verbal abuse, threats, deliberate neglect of their injuries and health conditions, and denial of medical treatment."

Requests for medical assistance are often met with immediate responses from soldiers threatening more violence and referencing the fate of past prisoner victims who died in Israeli detention, according to the Authority.

The Authority outlined a series of punitive and racist measures suffered by the detainees. These include the absence of aluminum windows on the cell bars, exposing detainees to freezing temperatures. In addition, blankets provided are extremely light and inadequate for protection against the cold.

"Attempts by detainees to close the windows with cardboard result in room invasions and punishment. The food provided is described as terrible, both in quality and quantity, often cold and emitting foul odors," the statement said. "The quantity allotted for 12 detainees is insufficient for only four. Detainees are also not allowed access to the courtyard immediately and face restrictions on personal belongings."

According to the Authority, a significant number of detainees sleep on the floor due to insufficient beds, given the threefold increase in the number of inmates. Shower time is limited to 10 minutes per day and with cold water, and access to the canteen is completely prohibited.

The Authority concluded, "This aggressive crackdown on the detainees coincides with the absence of a role played by human rights institutions in providing minimal protection and oversight of the detainees' conditions and rights."

Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers

Israeli occupation forces confiscate a vehicle, illegal settlers destroy pipes in Masafir Yatta

HEBRON, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

During the raid, the Israeli occupation military conducted searches and tampered with belongings. They also raided the nearby village of Halawa, where they confiscated a vehicle owned by Mahmoud Khalil Abu Aram, a local Palestinian resident.

Meantime, a group of colonial Israeli settlers destroyed a water network supplying three hamlets in Masafir Yatta: Esfay, Maghayir Al-'Abid, and At-Tuba. The destruction of the water network has left a considerable number of residents in those areas without access to drinking water.

Israel demolishes a residential department in Sour Bahir

JERUSALEM, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces demolished an apartment in a residential building today in the neighborhood of Sour Bahir, south of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

According to the sources, the Israeli occupation forces demolished an apartment belonging to Jihad 'Atwan, a local Palestinian citizen, situated on the third floor of his family's building, citing unauthorized construction as a pretext for the demolition.

The Israeli occupation forces had earlier stormed the neighborhood, imposing a lockdown around the targeted building before initiating the demolition of the apartment.

The demolition in Sour Bahir is part of a broader pattern of racist Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank, where Palestinians face frequent threats of eviction, land confiscation, and the demolition of their homes under Israeli military occupation.

The systematic displacement of Palestinian families remains an everyday dilemma for Palestinians living under the colonial Israeli occupation regime, drawing international condemnation for violating human rights and international law.

Occupation forces order demolition of residential building in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

JERUSALEM, December 3, 2023 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces have issued a demolition order for a Palestinian-owned residential building in the Silwan neighborhood in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by staff from the all-Israeli municipality of Jerusalem, stormed a building in the Silwan neighborhood and placed notices indicating their intent to demolish the structure, citing unauthorized construction as the reason.

The targeted building, which is facing the threat of demolition, consists of five floors and is home to Shaikh 'Ikrima Sabri, the long-time preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Using the pretext of building without a permit, an inherent right that rarely granted to indigenous Palestinians in the occupied city, the Israeli municipality has been demolishing Palestinian-owned houses as part of a policy aimed to restrict Palestinian expansion in occupied Jerusalem.

At the same time, the municipality and hard-right government build tens of thousands of housing units in illegal settlements in occupied Jerusalem for Israeli settlers with the goal of offsetting the demographic balance in favor of the Jewish settlers in the occupied city.

Although Palestinians in East Jerusalem, a part of the internationally recognized Palestinian Territory that has been subject to Israeli military occupation since 1967, they are denied their citizenship rights and are instead classified only as "residents" whose permits can be revoked if they move away from the city for more than a few years.

They are also discriminated against in all aspects of life including housing, employment and services, and are unable to access services in the West Bank due to the construction of Israel's separation wall.
