While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Gaza Civil Defense: Massive destruction caused by the Israeli genocidal continued targeting of Khan Younus

Friday 26-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) are still infiltrating the town of Bani Suhayla in the city of Khan Younus, working to completely demolish residential blocks and targeting and severely damaging the infrastructure.

The spokesman for the Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, said in a report on the latest developments published on Thursday evening, that the towns of Khan Younus have been subjected to intense targeting for 5 days. In the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis, the IOFs bombed a house belonging to the Al-Namroti family, leading to the martyrdom of two people.

He pointed out that in the Khuza’a area south of Khan Younus, the IOFs bombed a house belonging to the Al-Najjar family, leading to the martyrdom of 6 people, and in the Al-Shaikh Nasir neighborhood in Khan Younus, the occupation bombed a house belonging to the Jarhoun family, leading to the martyrdom of two people and a number of injuries. The IOFs bombing of the Al-Tahliya area east of Khan Younus led to the martyrdom of 4 people.

The Civil Defense spokesman explained that an ambulance belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent was targeted with intense gunfire while evacuating an injured person from Khan Younus, noting that a large number of citizens are besieged in the Bani Suhayla area, with injured and sick people calling for their evacuation from the area.

Regarding the events in the city of Gaza, the Civil Defense spokesman said that the IOFs bombed a house belonging to the Al-Namr family south of the Abu Al-Amin intersection in the Shaikh Radhwan area of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of 4 people and a number of injuries.

He added that the IOFs also bombed a house belonging to the Abu Jiyab family in the Shati area next to the Unity Tower in western Gaza City, which resulted in a number of injuries. He pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a citizen while he was moving towards the south through Salah El-Din Street near the Nitsarim checkpoint.

In the city of Rafah, the Civil Defense spokesman confirmed that the IOFs bombed the Musabbi'h Western intersection north of Rafa'h city, resulting in the martyrdom of a person, and in the Al-Shakoush area northwest of Rafa'h city, a martyr was killed as a result of direct gunfire.

Basal confirmed that for the fourteenth consecutive day, the seawater desalination stations in the Gaza and North governorates are still out of service due to the lack of fuel.

He pointed out that the occupation forces have been preventing the entry of cooking gas since the beginning of the war until this moment.

He also explained that for the 78th consecutive day, the IOFs is preventing the entry of vegetables, fruits, frozen goods and basic materials for the Gaza and North governorates.

UNRWA: Nine in every ten people have been forcibly displaced in Gaza

RAMALLAH, Friday, July 26, 2024 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that Nine in every ten people have been forcibly displaced in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

UNRWA said that families in Gaza seek shelter where they can; wither in overcrowded schools, destroyed buildings, or makeshift tents on the sand or amid piles of trash.

“None of these places are safe. People have nowhere left to go,” said UNRWA in an X post, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

Meanwhile, UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, said that six samples of type 2 polio have been detected in parts of Gaza. “Thankfully, no paralytic cases have been detected yet.”

“This is another serious development in the never-ending journey of misery,” he said on X.

“Polio emerges due to a crumbling health system, lack of clean water and hygiene material, overcrowded shelters and very poor sanitation.“

With the war, vaccination among children dropped from semi-universal levels to just over 85% because people have been constantly moving, fleeing combat zones, and searching for safety, he added.

“Diseases don’t differentiate between people. They don’t know borders nor do they need a visa or permit to travel,” He said, stressing that the spread of polio in Gaza and beyond can be controlled through vaccination campaigns to reach every child wherever they are.

“A ceasefire and an increase in the flow of vaccines will allow it.”

He concluded by calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

OCHA: Very little aid is reaching the most needy people in Gaza

Friday 26-July-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that very little aid is reaching the people who need it most in the Gaza Strip.

The Office said on Thursday that “the lack of security, damaged roads, the collapse of the rule of law and order, and the restrictions on access continue to impede movement along the main humanitarian supply route between the Kerem Abu Salem crossing and Khan Younus and Dair El-Bala'h.”

It added that “the insufficient delivery of fuel and relief supplies has left only six bakeries operating in northern Gaza, receiving small quantities of materials sufficient to run for just a few days at a time.”

It also warned that “the severe shortage of basic goods has affected community kitchens, and there is a risk of spoilage of food supplies stranded amid the high summer temperatures.”

OCHA pointed out that “only a few locally-produced vegetable varieties are now available at exorbitant prices in northern Gaza.”

The Israeli occupation army has been attacking the Gaza Strip since October 7th 2023, with American and European support, its warplanes bomb the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants, and preventing the entry of water, food, medicine and fuel.

The continued Israeli aggression on Gaza has led to the martyrdom of 39,175 people, the injury of 90,403 others, and the displacement of 90% of the population of the Strip, according to United Nations data.

Al-Rishiq: Harris begins her presidential campaign with lies

Friday 26-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The member of 'Hamas Political Bureau 'Izzat Al-Rishiq said on Friday that the US Vice President Kamala Harris began her campaign for the presidential elections with “fabricated lies, disregarding the human rights she pretends to protect.”

Al-Rishiq told Shihab Agency that Harris disregards the right to resistance of the occupier which is a protected right by the international law, “and shows her bias to the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and their right to life.”

He reiterated that “the US could have ended the war and blocked its military, security, political, and intelligence support to Israel and its occupation forces if it wanted to.”

“Our martyrs are not just ‘dead persons’. They are innocent civilians, elderly, women, children, and refugees, killed by the ‘Zio-Nazi army’ with US decisions, weapons, and political cover,” he said.

In a press conference following her meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in Washington on Thursday, Harris expressed her “deep concern” about the extent of the human suffering in Gaza, “including the death of a very large number of innocent civilians.”

Israeli forces detain Palestinian at checkpoint south of Nablus

NABLUS, Friday, July 26, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Friday evening detained a Palestinian at the 'Awarta military checkpoint, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that the soldiers manning the checkpoint stopped and detained the young man, identified as a resident of the 'Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus.

The occupation forces already detained six others, who are members of the same family, in a predawn raid into the camp.

In the predawn and early morning hours, the occupation forces conducted multiple raids across the occupied West Bank, detaining 10 people from the Qalqilya governorate and 14 others from the other West Bank governorates.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,700 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 250 children and 79 females.

This number includes approximately 3,380 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

Mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

IOFs release Palestinian detainees, including two women in miserable conditions

Friday 26-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) released on Thursday a number of Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including two detained women from Gaza. They appeared in miserable conditions that indicate the extent of brutal torture and inhumane treatment they have been subjected to.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) explained that signs of torture were seen on their bodies, indicating they had passed through tough detention including torture, humiliation, and tragic and inhumane circumstances.

Among the prisoners who were released, Hamza Al-Saifi (32 years old) from the Al-Duhaisha refugee camp in Bethlehem, who spent two years in administrative detention. Upon his release, his mother could not easily recognize him because of the gross loss of his body weight.

The PPS affirmed that the IOF has been committing crimes of torture against the prisoners in the Negev desert prison since the beginning of the genocide war.

The number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails since the beginning of this month jumped to more than 9,700, including about 3,380 administrative detainees, and more than 1,400 captives from Gaza who are classified by the Israeli Prison Service as illegal combatants.

In a similar context, the Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees in Gaza confirmed that more than 38 prisoners of those who were arrested in Gaza during the ongoing Israeli genocide war were martyred under torture and because of inhumane detention conditions, systematic assault and the most heinous methods of slow killing carried out with no accountability or supervision.

The ministry said in a statement that the IOFs detain approximately 5,000 citizens from Gaza, and that it has documented shocking testimonies by a number of newly released prisoners about the IOFs brutal practices that constitute crimes against humanity and contradict all the rules and regulations of the international and humanitarian laws.

The ministry’s statement listed the documented testimonies, which included using prisoners as human shields at their arrest, blindfolding their eyes, stripping them of clothes, breaking their bones, killing some of them with bulldozers, holding them in overcrowded prison cells, amid high risk of the spread of epidemics and diseases, depriving them of medicines and visiting medical clinics and starving them.

The statement reported testimonies revealing that “every prisoner lost more than half of his weight inside the prison”, due to the policy of deliberate starvation of the prisoners, noting that a large number of the released prisoners needed physical and psychological treatment.

The ministry called on international institutions to exert efforts to reveal the fate of Gaza detainees, especially those held in the ill-famed Sde Teiman detention center, where they are subjected to the most heinous torture methods which are newly innovated and have not been used elsewhere.

The martyrdom of Shaikh Mustafa Abu 'Arra at dawn Friday raised the number of the Palestinian prisoners who were martyred inside Israeli jails since the beginning of the Israeli genocide war on Gaza to 55 martyrs.

This brings the number of the identified martyrs, who have died in Israeli prisons since 1967, to 256 martyrs other than dozens of Gazans who were executed in the field during the ongoing genocide.

'Hamas mourns Shaikh Mustafa Abu 'Arra, accuses Israel of killing him in prison

Friday 26-July-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has mourned Shaikh Mustafa Muhammad Abu 'Arra, who has been martyred inside Israeli occupation prisons.

In a statement on Friday, Hamas said the martyrdom of the Hamas figure Shaikh Abu Arra is a new cowardly crime of assassination, added to Israel’s criminal record against Palestinian prisoners.

'Hamas condemned the escalation of the Israeli policy of medical neglect and inhumane treatment pursued against Palestinian detainees in consistence with the Israeli occupation government’s recent decisions which urge for more violence against them, pledging to continue its efforts to free all prisoners.

Shaikh Abu 'Arra, 63, from the town of 'Aqaba near Toubas, was martyred after being transferred from Rimon Prison to Soroka Hospital, due to the deterioration of his health, following systematic medical neglect.

For its part, the Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society confirmed the news of the martyrdom of Abu 'Arra, who was held in administrative detention.

Abu 'Arra who has seven children had been subjected to several arrests since 1990 and spent a total of 12 years in detention. He was one of the deportees to Marj Al-Zuhour in South Lebanon in 1992.

His last arrest was on October 30 last year. Since then, he was subjected, along with the rest of the prisoners, to torture and starvation and suffered from medical crimes, which was the main reason for his martyrdom.

The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society held the Israeli occupation prison administration fully responsible for the martyrdom of Abu 'Arra, expressing deep concern over the fate of over 9,700 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, noting that this number does not include all the detainees from Gaza.

The Ministry of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners condemned the Israeli occupation’s assassination of Abu 'Arra, noting that his martyrdom brings the number of martyred prisoners who died because of torture and medical neglect inside Israeli prisons since the beginning of the war of genocide in Gaza, to more than 55 martyrs including more than 38 detainees from the Gaza Strip.

First group of wounded and sick children from Gaza arrive in Spain for treatment

MADRID, Friday, July 26, 2024 (WAFA) -

The first group of wounded and sick children from the Gaza Strip arrived in Spain to receive treatment in Spanish hospitals.

The group consists of 15 children, ages three to 17, suffering from serious injuries and illnesses.

The children were receiving treatment in Egypt for the past several months after being evacuated from the Gaza Strip.

Thousands of wounded and sick individuals, most of whom are children and women, remain trapped in the Strip due to the Israeli occupation's control over the Rafah-Egypt border crossing, which has been destroyed since last May, and its ban on evacuation for treatment.

The children were transported by a Spanish military aircraft from Egypt, landing at an army base near the Spanish capital, Madrid.

Another group of sick and wounded children from the Gaza Strip is expected to arrive in Spain as part of the initiative announced by Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and Health Minister, Mónica García, to provide treatment to 30 children.

The Spanish authorities are overseeing this initiative in collaboration and coordination with international and local organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and the ACCEM organization for the defense of fundamental rights in Spain.

Spain recognized the state of Palestine on May 28 .

Leaders of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Friday 26-July-2024

OTTOWA, (PIC)

Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the escalation of military tension between the Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah party makes the ceasefire more urgent.

In a joint statement on Friday, the leaders of the three countries said “Israel must listen to the concerns of the international community.”

The statement added, “Protecting civilians is of the utmost importance and is a fundamental requirement under international humanitarian law. Palestinian civilians cannot be forced to pay the price for Hamas’s defeat, this must stop.”

The three countries called on the Israeli authorities to hold extremist settlers accountable for their ongoing acts of violence against Palestinian citizens and to retract their settlement program in the West Bank.

According to a report by Human Rights Watch, released in May, settler attacks in the West Bank have led to the displacement of more than 1,200 Palestinians from 20 residential communities, and the complete removal of at least seven other communities since the start of the war on Gaza.

The joint statement, the second since last February, called on the Israeli authorities to respond objectively to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ruled that its occupation of the Palestinian territories is illegal.

Last Friday, the ICJ issued its opinion on the legal consequences of Israel’s occupation policies and practices in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, and the implications of the occupation’s conduct for other states, following a legal process that lasted 18 months.

The ICJ, in a public session at its headquarters in The Hague, affirmed that Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal and must end as soon as possible, in its strongest decision on the Palestinian issue to date.

On the other hand, the three countries expressed their concern about the outbreak of a regional war following the escalation of military tension between Israel and Hezbollah, stressing that this makes the ceasefire in Gaza more urgent.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in more than 39,000 martyrs, more than 90,000 injured, mostly children and women, the displacement of about 1.9 million people, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction of health and educational infrastructure and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children, according to local and United Nations data.

US-backed Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters day 294

Friday 26-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 294 on Friday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes and attack citizens in different areas of Gaza, especially in Khan Younus and Rafa'h, during the past 24 hours.

The Israeli forces have continued their ground invasion of large neighborhoods in Rafa'h, since May 7, while storming Gaza City amid air and artillery bombardment.

The Israeli forces blew up residential buildings in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younus, while five Palestinians were killed in similar attacks in the Al-Sa'haba neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Health sources confirmed the martyrdom of the five citizens as a result of two separate attacks on two homes, one of which belonged to the Al-Banna family, in the Al-Sa'haba neighborhood and street, east of Gaza City.

Along the same line, the Israeli forces blew up several residential buildings in the Al-Mughraqa area, north of the Central Governorate.

On the other hand, health reports indicated the spread of skin diseases among children in the displacement tents.

GAZA, Friday, July 26, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli genocidal airstrikes today killed at least three Palestinians and injured others in the western part of the city of Gaza and to the east of Khan Younes, according to local sources.

They said that Israeli jets targeted a gathering of people in the vicinity of the Al-Amal Hotel, west of the city, killing two and injuring others.

Israeli drones targeted a motorbike close to the Abu 'Haseera Street, west of the city of Gaza, killing a person and injuring three others, at a time when Israeli artillery shelled the western areas of the city.

Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets launched airstrikes against Wadi Saber in 'Abasan Al-Kabeera, east of Khan Younus, in the southern coastal enclave, resulting in a number of fatalities and casualties.

The occupation forces detonated a residential complex in the vicinity of the Shaikh Nasir neighborhood, east of Khan Younus, flattening it, at a time when fighter jets pounded areas to the east of Al-Buraij refugee camp and targeted a house at Block 12 in the camp.

Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafa'h, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

By July 25, 2024, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 39,175 Palestinians and injuring over 90,403 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
