While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamas says blocking aid into Gaza “part of Israel’s genocidal war”

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has said that the Israeli occupation army’s persistence in preventing the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip is “another war crime” and “part of its genocidal war on the population.”

“The terrorist occupation government continues to wage its war of starvation and to impose a tight siege on our people in the Gaza Strip,” 'Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The occupation government] prevents the entry of trucks carrying food aid for the 64th day running, while groups of settlers systematically burn aid at the Karm Abu Salim crossing,” 'Hamas added.

'Hamas accused the Israeli government and its settler groups of practicing “the ugliest forms of starvation war against defenseless civilians, who have been facing an all-out war of extermination for more than nine months.”

“The famine that is growing and escalating, especially in Gaza City and the northern governorate, is the result of an ongoing criminal Zionist decision — backed by the complicit US administration — denying our people in the Gaza Strip all means of life, despite UN resolutions and orders issued by the International Court of Justice calling for necessarily allowing aid into all areas of Gaza,” Hamas said.

The Movement warned that the starvation war on Gaza would claim the lives of more children and innocent civilians, calling on the international community to take immediate action to provide Gaza with aid and hold Israeli leaders accountable for their horrific war crimes.

Palestinian factions warn of forced displacement from Gaza City

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian factions have warned against Israel’s forced displacement imposed on the residents of Gaza City, stressing that Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) committed horrific massacres that exposed Netanyahu and his government’s real position towards the efforts of the mediators in Qatar and Egypt to reach a ceasefire agreement to put an end to the genocidal war.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces stressed the importance of realizing the danger of the escalation of the genocidal war, especially in the neighborhoods of Gaza City such as Al-Shuja'iyya, Al-Tufa'h, Al-Daraj, and the Old Town.

The statement stressed that the Israeli occupation government aims to evacuate these neighborhoods of all residents and relocate them in the south in preparation for forcibly expelling them outside the Gaza Strip in a campaign of ethnic cleansing that would be the largest in history.

For its part, 'Hamas Movement confirmed that the Israeli escalation of its crimes will not succeed in subjugating the Palestinian people, noting that the resistance will continue to confront the IOF until the aggression is terminated.

Many separate statements have been issued by the factions in rejection of the Israeli occupation crimes and its endeavors to displace the people of Gaza including the popular and democratic fronts for the liberation of Palestine, the Palestinian National Initiative and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the General Command.

Civil Defense in Gaza mourns one of its officers

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip mourned one of its employees in Central Gaza, in an Israeli bombing that targeted him while he was fulfilling his national and humanitarian duty.

The Civil Defense said in a statement on Tuesday, “With the martyrdom of Major Fadhil Sakib 'Ataya, the number of our martyrs, who have been killed while fulfilling their humanitarian duty since the beginning of the ongoing genocide war against our people in the Gaza Strip, rises to 76.”

The spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza, Major Mahmoud Basal, confirmed, earlier last week, that “the civil defense crews are still working on recovering the bodies of martyrs and dealing with the wounded despite being subjected to constant targeting.”

He underlined that “the civil defense teams suffer from insufficient number of workers and the lack of the necessary equipment required to recover the bodies of martyrs and to deal with the injured in light of the ongoing random Israeli occupation’s bombardment.”

WHO: There is no safe corner in the Gaza Strip

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday raised alarms over the escalating healthcare crisis in Gaza following new evacuation orders in Gaza City.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO director-general, underscored the severe impact these orders are having on the already limited medical services in the region.

“There’s really no safe corner in Gaza,” said Ghebreyesus in a statement. “The latest reports on evacuation orders in Gaza City will further impede delivery of very limited life-saving care.”

The WHO has reported that key hospitals such as Al-Ahli and Patient Friendly hospitals are out of service.

Patients from these hospitals have been forced to either self-evacuate, were given early discharges, or referred to other hospitals.

Kamal 'Udwan and Indonesian hospitals, which are now responsible for these patients, are grappling with severe shortages of fuel, beds, and trauma medical supplies.

The Indonesian Hospital is currently operating at triple its capacity, struggling to cope with the influx of patients.

Al-'Hilou Hospital, located within the blocks affected by the evacuation order, continues to operate but only partially.

Meanwhile, Al-Sa'haba and Al-Shifa hospitals, which are near the evacuation zones, remain functional for now, though their status is precarious given the proximity to conflict areas.

Additionally, six medical points and two primary healthcare centers fall within the evacuation zones, further straining the healthcare infrastructure.

Ghebreyesus warned that these critical medical facilities could quickly become non-functional due to hostilities in their vicinity or obstructions to access.

The WHO has called for a cease-fire to ensure that medical aid can reach those in dire need and that the wounded can receive proper care.

PGMO sounds the alarm against Israeli calls for forced displacement from Gaza City

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza warned against the Israeli instructions ordering people to move from Gaza City to the south to lure them to the traps of death and field executions.

The PGMO said in a statement on Monday evening, “The Israeli occupation army distributed misleading maps ordering the residents to displace from Gaza City to the south, claimed as a safe zone.”

The PGMO urged the citizens not to respond to the Israeli orders which are aimed at luring them to the traps of killing and field executions, similar to what happened repeatedly to dozens of citizens who were subjected to field executions as they were trying to move from the Rasheed street, west of Gaza City, and Salahuddeen Street, to the east.

The statement recalled that the Israeli army had ordered the citizens to relocate towards central and southern Gaza, then executed them in cold blood upon their arrival at military checkpoints, shooting and killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds of others.

PGMO says aid not entering Gaza for 64 days

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in the Gaza Strip said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army has been blocking aid from entering the besieged enclave for 64 days, which portends an increase in the number of deaths from hunger, especially among children.

PGMO accused the Israeli army of escalating its starvation policy across the Gaza Strip, especially in Gaza City and northern Gaza, through closing border crossings and targeting food warehouses and food production facilities.

“The Israeli occupation’s deepening of the famine in the Gaza Strip violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which stipulates the right to food as a basic human right, as well as the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights that recognizes the fundamental right of everyone to be free from hunger,” GMO said.

PGMO held the Israeli occupation regime and the US administration fully responsible for “the ongoing crime of starvation that is being committed against the Palestinian people as part of the genocidal war on Gaza.”

PGMO appealed to the international community, the UN, the world’s free countries and their institutions to pressure Israel and the US administration to stop their genocidal war on Gaza and allow the entry of humanitarian aid through its border crossings immediately.

Al-Barsh: Health services in northern Gaza stopped completely

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Director of Gaza’s health ministry Muneer Al-Barsh said on Monday that all the hospitals’ health services in northern Gaza have been suspended as a result of the acute fuel crisis.

“The only source of fuel is the World Health Organization, which supplies them (hospitals) with very small quantities,” Al-Barsh said in press remarks.

“There are 25,000 patients in urgent need of treatment outside the Gaza Strip, and only 5,000 others have already been able to leave,” Al-Barsh pointed out.

“For two months or more, no food supplies have entered the Gaza Strip — which entails the need to open the Rafa'h crossing immediately to alleviate the difficult conditions we are facing,” the health official affirmed, adding that 34 children had died in northern Gaza due to acute food shortages.

He also said that Israeli tanks were deployed outside the Patients’ Friends Charity Hospital in northern Gaza, adding that the citizens in ash-Shuja’iya neighborhood and nearby areas do not know where to go due to the intensity of Israeli bombardments.

Euro-Med: Israeli occupation army launches a war of intimidation, forced displacement against the people of Gaza City

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Since the early hours of Monday, July 8, the Israeli army has been waging a war of terror and forcibly displacing the people living in Gaza City and North Gaza, causing another massive wave of forced displacement, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement issued on Monday.

According to the Geneva-based organization, tens of thousands of Gazans were displaced from multiple areas of Gaza City, and they have been left with nowhere to go without any safe passages, amid conflicting displacement orders issued by the Israeli army.

“This came along with the systematic and widespread war of starvation and deliberate, indiscriminate killing against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli occupation army launched a military operation with a ground incursion into areas southwest of Gaza City, housing tens of thousands of displaced people, a few hours after ordering residents of the “Al-Tuffah,” “Al-Daraj” and “Al-Shuja’iya” neighborhoods, east of the city, to head to those targeted areas.

Early on Monday morning, the Israeli occupation army issued new evacuation orders against residents of the Al-Daraj and Al-Tuffa'h neighborhoods while simultaneously planning to expand its ground operation to the center of Gaza City, where it has been stationed for over a week in Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood. Later on, it started a second military operation in the city’s western districts.

Under heavy rocket and shell fire, the Israeli occupation army launched a ground incursion in the Al-Sinaa area, directly targeting the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the headquarters of several destroyed universities west of Gaza, in total contradiction to the previous displacement orders given to tens of thousands of residents.

Later, the Israeli occupation army ordered residents of large areas in Gaza City to evacuate to Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, including the “Ahli Baptist” Hospital medical staff, forcing the main hospital operating in Gaza for months to be out of service.

Many reports have surfaced of dozens of deaths and injuries caused by the Israeli army’s abrupt incursion into Gaza City’s east and then into the city’s southwest neighborhoods under heavy fire. This action was taken without prior warning and in defiance of conflicting evacuation orders.

Coinciding with the ongoing ground incursion into large areas of Gaza City, the Euro-Med field team documented a series of Israeli raids with dozens of fire belts and the firing of artillery shells. The ground incursion included searches, raids, and arbitrary arrests of civilians, as well as intentional killings around the clock.

Euro-Med raised concerns about the Israeli occupation army’s intentions to expand its ground operations and escalate the war of forced displacement to the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip, which are already crowded with more than a million and a half people and suffer from extremely complex catastrophic humanitarian conditions. Residents of the “Al-Shuja’iya” and “Al-Daraj” neighborhoods received phone calls and threats from the Israeli army last night, asking them to first head to the areas southwest of Gaza City before they were asked to go to the “humanitarian shelters” in the city of Dair El-Bala'h this morning.

According to UNRWA, Israel has bombed 190 – more than half – of the agency’s facilities in Gaza, some more than once since the war began. As a result, thousands of Palestinian civilians were killed and injured while looking for safe refuge.

According to UN estimates, 1.9 million people in the war-ravaged enclave are internally displaced – including people displaced up to nine or 10 times. The Israeli evacuation orders, widespread damage to both public and private infrastructure, restrictions on access to essential services, and the ongoing hostilities constitute the main causes of the mass displacement waves.

Based on the aforementioned, Euro-Med called on the international community to fulfil their international obligations by enacting strong sanctions against Israel and severing all other types of political, financial, and military support and cooperation. This includes immediately halting arms transfers to Israel, including export permits and military aid; otherwise, these nations will be held accountable for the crimes that have been committed in the Gaza Strip, including genocide.

Palestinian emerges in harsh and shocking health condition after months in Israeli detention

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 (WAFA) –

Palestinian prisoner Ma'zouz 'Abayat Tuesday evening emerged in harsh and shocking health condition after serving months in Israeli detention, according to the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

PPS said in a press statement that Israeli occupation authorities released 37-year-old 'Abayat, a resident of Bethlehem, from the Al-Naqab desert prison in very poor and shocking health condition after serving nine months under administrative detention.

It added that during his term of imprisonment since October 2023, 'Abayat was subject to severe beating, particularly to the feet, and as well as to a series of torture, starvation and medical crimes, which manifested and evidenced in his appearance upon his release. Such torture, starvation and crimes have been the central reasons for the death of Palestinian prisoners after October 7.

The first words 'Abayat uttered after his release was that he was “subjected to attempted murder” more than once, the PPS added.

Before his current detention, PPS elaborated, the father-of-five was detained twice and had not suffered from any health problems, at a time when thousands of detainees are at the risk death in Israeli custody and such risk is increasing over time due to continued torture of unprecedented level and intensity.

PPS pointed out that the Israeli occupation have stepped up the policy of administrative detention, placing at least 3,380 Palestinians, including children and women, under administrative detention and subjected to mock trials under the pretext of undisclosed evidence, noting that hundreds of administrative detainees are sick who are mostly former detainees.

It held the occupation authorities fully responsible for 'Abayat’s health condition and reiterated its call to international human rights organizations to shoulder their responsibilities vis-à-vis the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and crimes against Palestinian prisoners.

Israel’s widely condemned practice of administrative detention that allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The US State Department has said in past reports on human rights conditions for Palestinians that administrative detainees are not given the “opportunity to refute allegations or address the evidentiary material presented against them in court.”

Amnesty International has described Israel’s use of administrative detention as a “bankrupt tactic” and has long called on Israel to bring its use to an end.

Palestinian detainees have continuously resorted to open-ended hunger strikes as a way to protest their illegal administrative detention and to demand an end to this policy, which violates international law.

Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

On July 9, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 3 massacres, in which 50 Palestinian civilians were killed, and the 150 others were injured, in the past 24 hours. This increased the accounted for death toll in Gaza Strip to 38,243 and the injuries to 88,033, since the start of the Israeli genocidal war on October 7, 2023.

50 Palestinians killed, 150 injured in Israeli massacres in Gaza in the past 24 hours

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The health ministry in Gaza said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 50 civilians and injuring 150 others.

In its daily update, the health ministry said that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression, which started on October 7 last year, climbed to 38,243 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 88,033 people.

“A number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads as ambulance and civil defense crews have been prevented by Israeli occupation forces from approaching them,” it added.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has launched a devastating war on the Gaza Strip resulting in tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded and missing, in addition to the displacement of two million people and a massive destruction in homes and infrastructures, which affected more than 70% of the buildings, amid a tight siege, a suffocating humanitarian crisis, and an unprecedented famine, especially in Gaza and northern Gaza.

US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters Day 277

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered Day 277 on Tuesday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians, especially in northern Gaza.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes and attack citizens in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours.

According to media sources, three citizens were killed and more than 20 others were injured, some seriously, when an Israeli drone attacked them in Al-Nusayrat market in central Gaza.

Seven citizens, including a woman and a child, were also martyred and many others, mostly children, were injured when another drone attacked them near the Abu Al-Rasas rotary in Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of Muhanna in Al-Jalaa street in Gaza City, killing six people. A baby was reportedly recovered alive from under the rubble.

Seven other citizens were martyred following an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the family of Furai'h in the new refugee camp of an-Nuseirat in central Gaza.

A mother and her child were also killed in an Israeli aerial attack on an apartment belonging to the family of Baroud in Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers set dogs on Palestinian families in the south of Gaza City and forced them to walk to central Gaza after interrogating and maltreating them.

In southern Gaza, the Israeli army targeted a group of citizens in Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafa'h, killing three of them and injuring others.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

At least 29 Palestinians killed in latest Israeli attack, mostly children

Tuesday 9-July-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured in an Israeli attack that struck the vicinity of Al-'Awda school sheltering displaced families in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younus on Tuesday evening.

Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) said that at least 29 Palestinians were killed in the attack, mostly women and children.

“The latest massacre comes after the occupation’s army attacked six other displacement camps in the central areas [of Gaza], raising the total death toll to at least 60 in the past few hours,” the GMO said in a statement.

The attack also comes while Gaza’s crumbling healthcare sector continues to collapse as Israeli forces have forced several hospitals to suspend services, it added.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a brief statement that the occupation forces targeted a school housing displaced civilians in the 'Abasan town, east of Khan Younus.

Dozens of victims were reported in the attack, the statement reads.

The Red Crescent noted that its ambulance crews are still working to evacuate the casualties, saying that the Israeli attack is the second of its kind within a few hours.

Earlier, the GMO said that the Israeli occupation committed a heinous massacre against displaced citizens by targeting a school sheltering displaced people in Al-Nusayrat.

At least 17 Palestinians were killed in the attack, including 14 children and a woman.

All of the reported victims belong to the same family.

Israeli bombardment of school-turned-shelter in Khan Younus kills scores, injures others

GAZA, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli bombardment of a school-turned-shelter in Khan Younus city in the southern Gaza Strip Tuesday evening killed scores and injured others, according to local and medical sources.

They said that Israeli fighter jets targeted the entrance of al-Awdah School sheltering displaced persons in 'Abasan Al-Kobra town, east of Khan Younus, killing scores and injuring others.

Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafa'h, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 38,243 Palestinians and injuring over 88,033 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

30 Palestinian lawyers detained by Israeli occupation forces since start of Israeli aggression on Gaza

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 9 2024 (WAFA) –

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestine Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the number of detentions among lawyers since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has reached to 30 lawyers, including two female lawyers.

They said in a joint statement, on the occasion of Palestinian Lawyer's Day, that the occupation carried out systematic crimes against lawyers during their detention operations.

The most prominent restrictions imposed by the occupation on lawyers were reviewed, as the prison administration at the beginning of the aggression prevented them from visiting detainees.

The Commission and PPS pointed out that the occupation continues to impose the crime of enforced disappearance against the majority of Gaza detainees, by preventing legal teams and the Red Cross from communicating with them.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime police forces kidnapped two Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) young girls near Bab Hitta gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday evening.

Eyewitnesses said that the police forces arrested a girl in her twenties upon her arrival at Bab Hitta gate for wearing gold jewelry depicting the map of Palestine.

The female detainee was later taken to the nearby police station.

Also on Tuesday, the Israeli forces arrested a female university student in the Old City of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Along the same line, an Israeli court sentenced the Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) prisoner Anas Al-Shaloudi for 33 months for expressing solidarity with Gaza on social media.

Al-Shaloudi was arrested last November from his home in the Old City of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) young man, Murad Mu'hammed Mu'haisin, was also sentenced to 16 months in prison, while the imprisoned photojournalist Sa'eed Rukn’s detention was extended until August 4.

Also in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Israeli forces stormed and violently searched the house of the Secretary of the Fat'h Movement in Al-'Eisawiya town, Yasir Darweesh, a few days after his arrest.

Occupation authorities seize large tract of land from Nablus-governorate villages

NABLUS, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation authorities today seized a large tract of land from the villages of Qabalan and Baita, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

The Commission said in a statement that the occupation authorities took over 65 donums belonging to the two villages under the pretext of being declared “state land” to pave the way for legalizing the colonial outpost of Givat Eviatar, established atop Jabal Subai'h, following the Israeli cabinet’s decision to “legalize” five new colonial outposts about two weeks ago, including Givat Eviatar.

It added that the land grab decision runs counter earlier decisions of Israel, the occupying power, which more than once recognized the Palestinians’ right of ownership to the land of Jabal Subaih, and violates all laws and legislation that criminalize settler-colonialism.

It pledged that it would continue, along with all legal partners, its battle to thwart the occupation’s schemes to take over Palestinian territory.

During the time from 1 January to 30 June 2024, the occupation authorities examined 83 master plans  to expand existing colonies or establish new ones, including 39 master plans for West Bank colonies and 44 others for colonies in occupied Jerusalem.

During the same period, colonists established 17 colonial outposts on Palestinians’ lands, mostly pastoral, in the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Beerih, Nablus, Salfeet, Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), Al-Khaleel (Hebron), and Qalqilya, while simultaneously the occupation authorities legalized 11 colonial outposts.

An illegal Israeli settler set fire to agricultural lands in Ramallah-governorate village

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 (WAFA) –

An illegal Israeli settler Tuesday evening set fire to agricultural lands in the village of Al-Janiya, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to a local source.

'Aayid Al-Madthloum, a villager, told WAFA that a settler from the nearby encroaching illegal Israeli settlement of Talmon, established on village lands, threw a Molotov cocktail at cultivated lands in the eastern area of the village, setting large tracts of cultivated land ablaze.

Al-Madthloum estimated the burned lands to be tens of dunams, planted with olive and fig trees as well as with grape, and belonged to several families from the village.

He pointed out that since 7 October 2023, the occupation forces and colonists have been preventing the villagers from accessing those lands, noting that anyone who approaches his land is at the risk of being shot at, noting that he himself was shot by the colonists, but survived.

He elaborated that the villagers are constantly subjected to harassment and prevented from harvesting their olive groves by the settlers, who graze their cattle on the formers’ cultivated land.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces demolish house in Nablus-governorate village

NABLUS, Tuesday, July 09, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces today demolished a Palestinian house in Furush Bait Dajan village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local official.

Head of Furush Bait Dajan Village Council, 'Azzam Hajj Mu'hammed, said that the occupation forces escorted a bulldozer to the village, where the heavy machinery tore down a 100-square-meter house belonging to a villager.

He added that the occupation forces had notified the villager of their intention to carry out the demolition citing the classification of the area as Area C as a pretext.

The occupation authorities demolish Palestinian houses and structures almost on a daily basis as a means to achieve “demographic control” of the occupied territories.

Israel denies planning permits for Palestinians to build on their own land or to extend existing houses to accommodate natural growth, particularly in Jerusalem and Area C, which constitutes 60 percent of the occupied West Bank and falls under full Israeli military rule, forcing residents to build without obtaining rarely-granted permits to provide shelters for their families.

In contrast, Israel argues that building within existing colonies is necessary to accommodate the “natural growth” of settlers. Therefore, it much more easily gives the estimated 700,000 illegal Jewish Israeli settlers there building permits and provides them with roads, electricity, water and sewage systems that remain inaccessible to many neighboring Palestinians.
