While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamas calls the international community, the UN, and its institutions, to take an urgent action to stop humanitarian catastrophe, as a result of the Israeli attack on Rafa'h

Saturday 11-May-2024

+ -

RAFAH, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement called on the international community, the UN and its institutions to take urgent action to stop the humanitarian catastrophe that resulted from the escalation of the criminal Israeli attack on Rafa'h.

'Hamas said in a statement on Saturday, “The Israeli army’s occupation of Rafa'h crossing and closing it for the sixth day in a row has disrupted the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to our Palestinian people who are left alone in the face of the ongoing aggression,” adding that it has deprived the wounded of their right to travel to receive treatment abroad.”

“This portends a humanitarian catastrophe and a worsening famine throughout the besieged Strip,” Hamas warned.

The Islamic Resistance Movement held Israel, which has been pursuing a policy of starvation and ethnic cleansing against civilians in the Strip, responsible for the humanitarian catastrophe in Rafa'h.

'Hamas said necessary measures must be taken to force Israel to halt its aggression, withdraw from and reopen the crossing, and to facilitate the delivery of emergency relief and medical supplies into the Strip.

Last Monday, Israeli occupation army closed the Raf'ah and Karm Abu Salim crossings and prevented aid entry into the besieged Strip before invading eastern Rafa'h using air and artillery bombardment that has been ongoing since then.

Ma'rouf: The Israeli occupation apartheid regime escalates its genocidal war on Gaza Strip, turning a blind eye to all international calls for ceasefire

Saturday 11-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The head of the Government Media Office (GMO), Salama Ma'rouf, said that the Israeli occupation army is escalating its aggression across the Gaza Strip, turning a blind eye to all international calls for ceasefire.

“Over the past twenty-four hours, all governorates of the Gaza Strip have been witnessing a remarkable escalation of the aggression, most notably in Rafa'h, with continued incursion of Israeli military vehicles into the east of Rafa'h City, and each of Khan Younis, Gaza, Bait Lahya and Bait 'Hanoun,” Ma'rouf added in a statement on Friday.

This escalation comes at a time when news has been leaking about the Israeli approval of expanding aggressive operations in Rafah in conjunction with international warnings against the repercussions of such a move that portend a looming humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, Ma'rouf remarked.

The head of GMO warned of the consequences of the continued Israeli crimes and its escalating incursions, intensified bombing of inhabited homes and the destruction of public service facilities.

He stressed the need for urgent intervention, demanding the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution to halt the aggression and ensure the entry of the necessary humanitarian needs for citizens and public service sectors, most notably the Ministry of Health, municipalities, and the Civil Defense.

CNN Journalistic investigation uncovers egregious Israeli occupation army violations against Gaza prisoners in a detention center in the Naqab (Negev) Desert

Saturday 11-May-2024

WASHINGTON, (PIC)

An investigation conducted by the American network CNN has revealed aspects of the violations committed by the Israeli occupation army against prisoners from the Gaza Strip held in a secret detention center in the Naqab (Negev) Desert.

CNN reported that testimonies from three Israelis who worked there revealed that Palestinian prisoners are incarcerated in extremely harsh conditions in a military base that has now become a detention center in the Naqab (Negev) Desert.

One of them said that foul odors fill the detention center where the blindfolded men are crowded together and prohibited from speaking or moving.

He also said that the doctors in the detention center sometimes amputate prisoners’ limbs due to injuries caused by their continuous handcuffing, and medical procedures are sometimes performed by unqualified doctors. The air is filled with the smell of neglected wounds left to fester.

CNN interviewed the three individuals who worked at the Sde Teiman desert detention center, and they all spoke openly, exposing themselves to legal and retaliatory consequences.

According to the accounts, the facility, located about 18 miles from the Gaza border, is divided into two sections: containers housing approximately 70 Palestinian prisoners from Gaza under severe physical restraints, and a field hospital where injured detainees are connected to their beds while wearing diapers.

One of the sources, who worked as a paramedic in the field hospital, said, ‘They dehumanized them.”

Another source added that Israeli soldiers used physical force against the prisoners, not for gathering intelligence but as punishment for what the Palestinians did on October 7th.

It should be noted that the Israeli prison administration announced in early April that they were holding 849 detainees classified as illegal combatants, and this figure does not include Gaza prisoners held in camps.

The Israeli occupation army continues to carry out the crime of forced disappearance against Gaza detainees since October 7th, denying legal teams access to visit or communicate with them. The available information is still limited; institutions have obtained it through released prisoners.

The testimonies of released Gaza prisoners and the clear signs of torture on their bodies reflect the level of crimes and brutality carried out by the occupation forces against them, including detainees who have been martyred as a result of torture and medical crimes. Until today, the occupation army has not revealed their identities or the conditions of their detention.

UNRWA: 150,000 Palestinians have fled Rafah

RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

The UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) today said that 150,000 Palestinians have left Rafa'h in the southern blockaded Gaza Strip where an Israeli invasion is underway despite international outcry.

“Everywhere you look now in west Rafah this morning, families are packing up. Streets are significantly emptier”, Louise Wateridge, a UNRWA spokeswoman, said on X.

“UNRWA estimates 150,000 people have now fled Rafah. New areas have been issued evacuation orders towards central Rafa'h in south Gaza AND Jabalya in North Gaza,” she added.

The UN agency for Palestine refugees pointed out in a separate post on the X platform that: “At least 300,000 people affected as further areas across Gaza Strip receive new evacuation orders today, both towards central Rafa'h in the south AND Jabalya in north Gaza”.

On Monday, 6 May, Israel declared launching a ground military offensive in Rafah and issued warnings for some 100,000 Palestinians, forcing them to evacuate eastern Rafa'h.

On the morning of Tuesday, 7 May, the Israeli occupation forces occupied the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing and haled the flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip.

This morning the occupation forces expanded their ground and aerial attacks to all districts of the war-torn Strip, and ordered the displacement of Palestinians from vast swaths of the northern Strip and central Rafa'h as they launched an aggression in the southern portions of Gaza city and the eastern portions of Khan Younes city and conducted a series of airstrikes, resulting in dozens of fatalities and casualties.

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) estimated population residing in Rafa'h Governorate as of April 22nd, 2024 is approximately 1.1 million individuals living in an area of 63.1 square kilometers. The population density in Rafa'h on the eve of the aggression was 4,360 individuals per square kilometer, while it has now reached approximately 17,500 individuals per square kilometer, which constitutes a humanitarian and environmental disaster and puts immense pressure on scarce services and the ability to access the most basic means of life in the midst of the aggression.

It also estimated the population residing in Gaza and North Gaza Governorates was approximately 511,000 and 685,000 in Khan Younus and the middle of Gaza Strip, taking into account the instability of displacement movement.

Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 34,971 Palestinians and injuring over 78,641 others.

Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Barcelona University cuts ties with Israel over the genocide in Gaza

MADRID, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

The senate of the University of Barcelona has voted to end ties with Israel entirely, cutting institutional or academic relations with Israeli universities, research institutes and companies.

Alongside the breaking of ties, the senate motion, which passed with 59 votes in favor to 23 against and 37 abstentions, demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, while saying that the key cause of the conflict is Israeli occupation and apartheid.

The resolution also calls on Spain and the Catalonia autonomous region to cut ties with Israel, and commits the university not carry out an act or omission that contributes to Israel's occupations of the Palestinian territories.

It further will see the creation of a commission to inquire about relations with entities that do not comply with international humanitarian law.

Following the vote Joan Guardia, the Rector of the University of Barcelona, stated that "the University of Barcelona cannot remain indifferent to what is happening in Palestine," adding that "we will not be complicit in any violation of human rights."

OCHA: Food supplies southern Gaza to run out tomorrow

GAZA, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

Top of Form The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned today that food supplies designated for distribution in southern Gaza will run out by tomorrow, as the border crossings leading to the city of Rafa'h in the south of the Strip remain closed.

In a video statement posted by the UN office on X, OCHA Chief Georgios Petropoulos stated, "The humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating due to the closure of all crossings leading to Rafa'h, or their insecurity."

He added, "Food supplies designated for distribution in southern Gaza by the World Food Program and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) will be depleted tomorrow," urging "immediate entry of aid and fuel."

On Monday, the sixth of May, Israel announced the commencement of a military onslaught on Rafa'h and issued warnings to approximately 100,000 citizens to evacuate forcibly from the eastern part of the city.

On the morning of the following Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafa'h border crossing, halting the flow of aid into the Strip.

With its control over the Rafa'h crossing, the occupation forces have closed the main land route through which aid enters and through which wounded and sick individuals leave the Strip for treatment outside, signaling a deepening humanitarian crisis.

Rafa'h remains the last refuge for displaced individuals in the devastated Strip. Since the beginning of the ground operation launched by the occupation forces on Gaza Strip on October 27th last year, citizens have been instructed to head from the north and center of the Strip towards the south.

Israeli occupation forces continue to shut down Gaza's main crossings

GAZA, Saturday May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces continue to shut down the Rafa'h land crossings across the border with the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Karm Abu Salim, the only commercial crossing in the Gaza Strip.

For the fifth day in a row, the occupation forces continue to close the Rafa'h crossing, which led to a complete halt to the movement of passengers, especially the sick and wounded, and the entry of humanitarian aid, or the transfer of accumulated aid to the people of the Gaza Strip in the southern and northern areas.

The Rafah land crossing is considered a lifeline for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the only land crossing for the entry of aid and the evacuation of the injured individuals.

According to local sources, this incursion and its tight control means deprivation of food and medical aid.

The occupation forces also continue to close the Karm Abu Salim crossing for the ninth day in a row, with a complete halt to the entry of aid.

A few days ago, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on the occupation authorities to reopen the Rafa'h and Karm Abu Salim crossings “immediately” to allow the entry of  humanitarian aid the Gaza Strip, and called on them to stop this escalation.

"Closing the two crossings at the same time is particularly harmful to the already desperate humanitarian situation, and they must be reopened immediately," Guterres said.

Gaza: Death toll surges to 34,971 martyrs

Saturday 11-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The health ministry in Gaza said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army committed four massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 28 civilians and injuring over 69 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but only 97 of them, including 28 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 34,971 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 78,641 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

GAZA, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

Around 80 bodies buried in three mass graves were discovered today in the yards of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, adding to the mass graves discovered since the pullout of Israeli occupation forces from the complex two months ago.

Medical sources in Gaza explained that so far, more than 520 bodies have been found in seven mass graves in hospitals across the Gaza Strip, discovered over the past months after the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Nasir Medical Complex, Kamal 'Udwan Hospital, and others.

They pointed out that "the visual examination of the bodies exhumed from the mass graves showed that the majority belonged to patients who were deprived of receiving medical care."

IOFs kidnap several Palestinians in West Bank raids

Saturday 11-May-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces (IOFs) stormed last night and at dawn Saturday different areas of the West Bank and kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens from their homes.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnaped two young men after ransacking their homes in Jalboun village, east of Jenin.

Two other citizens were kidnaped from their homes during IOFs raids on the outskirts of Jenin City and Faqqua village near the separation wall.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces kidnaped two young men at a makeshift checkpoint they set up at dawn at the main entrance of Al-Jalazoan refugee camp.

Violent clashes reportedly took place between local youths and Israeli soldiers at the entrance of Al-Jalazoan camp at dawn.

In Qalqilya, the IOFs kidnaped a citizen and his wife from their homes in the city to pressure their son to turn himself in.

The IOFs also stormed other West Bank areas and patrolled their streets, with no reported arrests.

In a separate incident, a horde of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers escorted by soldiers set fire to olive groves and crops in Al-Mughayyir village in eastern Ramallah.

Local residents said that Israeli occupation apartheid regime soldiers opened fire at them as they tried to extinguish the flames on their lands.

Israeli forces detain 15 Palestinians in West Bank raids

RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Friday evening and predawn Saturday detained 15 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, according to the Prisoners’ Affairs Committee and the Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

They said that the occupation forces conducted multiple raids in the West Bank districts of Jineen, Nablus, Ramallah, Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Qalqilya and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), and rounded up 15 Palestinians, including a woman who was abducted as a hostage and several former prisoners.

They added that as part of the raids, the occupation forces usually practice torture, brutal beating, destruction of Palestinian property and infrastructure, and confiscation of cash savings and vehicles on a large scale.

According to their statistics, approximately 8,680 Palestinians have been detained since October 7, and they include those rounded up in house raids, at army checkpoints in addition to those who were forced to turn themselves in and those held as hostages.

As part of the raids, the heavily armed soldiers rounded up two youths from the village of Jalboun, east of Jenin, and searched the houses of their families.

The soldiers rounded up two others; one from the Jenin city neighborhood of Al-Almaniya and the other from the village of Faqqu'a, northeast of the city, and ransacked the houses of their families, turning them upside down.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,500 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 200 child prisoners and 80 female prisoners.

This number includes approximately 3,660 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.
