While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Director of the PGMO, Ismail Al-Thawabta: Humanitarian crisis in Gaza enters critical stage

Thursday 16-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

In a press conference in commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Nakba on Wednesday, the Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza launched a warning call that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip had entered a critical stage due to the Israeli ongoing genocidal war waged against Palestinian civilians under the supervision of the US administration and their allies.

Speaking at the conference, the Director of the PGMO, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said, “while commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba in which our people were subjected to the most horrific forced displacement in history in 1948 in a terrible legal crime against humanity, the Nakba is being renewed once again by the same Israeli criminal gangs through the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, leading to a new catastrophe against humanity, morals, and values.”

“After the passage of 76 years since the Palestinian Nakba, our Palestinian people are still suffering from killing and genocide as we are marking the 222nd day of the Israeli genocidal war waged on civilians in the Strip with the support of the US administration, Britain, Germany, France, and other countries allied with the Israeli occupation. We charge them all fully responsible for this crime,” Al-Thawabta added.

“Today, we sound the alarms and say to the international community, the Gaza Strip has entered a critical stage of deep humanitarian crisis supervised by the Israeli occupation, the US administration and their allies against Palestinian civilians and humanitarian and service sectors in the Gaza Strip. This heralds a real humanitarian catastrophe in which hundreds of thousands of civilians are going to die amid the Israeli starvation policy under the ongoing aggression,” he warned.

Al-Thawabta held Israel, the US administration, Britain, and their allies fully responsible for the catastrophic effects of the Palestinian Nakba and the ongoing genocidal war against our Palestinian people, which has so far affected 120,000 victims, including martyrs, wounded, detainees, and missing.

At the end of the conference, the GMO director called for pressuring Israel to stop its genocide, which continues to claim the lives of more victims every day and demanded an immediate opening of the Rafa'h border crossing in order to allow hundreds of wounded and sick people to travel to receive treatment abroad as hospitals were knocked out of service because of the devastating aggression.

“We demand humanitarian aid to be delivered to more than 2 million displaced people languishing in hundreds of shelter centers. We also call for supplying hospitals, medical centers, and humanitarian crews with fuel,” he said.

'Hamas: The Israeli escalation of war crimes in northern Gaza reflects a retaliatory fascist behavior

Thursday 16-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has said that the Israeli occupation army’s escalation of its brutal targeting of defenseless civilians in the streets, homes and residential neighborhoods in various areas of the Gaza Strip is a fascist retaliatory behavior.

“The Israeli massacres being committed in Gaza City and the North Governorate reflect a great extent of confusion experienced by the Israeli occupation army due to the steadfastness of our people,” the Movement added in a statement on Wednesday.

'Hamas pointed out that Israel resorts to escalating its massacres against civilians because of “the painful strikes it receives at the hands of the Palestinian resistance, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.”

The Movement called on the international community, the United Nations, and its relevant institutions to take urgent steps to oblige the Israeli occupation government to stop its heinous crimes against the Palestinian people.

'Hamas charged the US administration and its president, Joe Biden, with the responsibility for this dangerous escalation, demanding an end to the criminal policies and unlimited support for the genocidal war that has been ongoing for more than 7 months against defenseless civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

'Hamas urged the masses of the Arab and Muslim nation as well as the free people of the world everywhere, to escalate the popular movement in support of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, and to push for an urgent and permanent ceasefire.

ActionAid says 5% of Gaza's 2.2 million civilians 'have been displaced'

RAMALLAH, Thursday, May 16, 2024 (WAFA) –

ActionAid International said that more than 75% of the Gaza Strip's 2.2 million citizens have been displaced from their homes since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7th.

The organization explained in a statement issued on Thursday on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, that most civilians had to be displaced several times amid very dangerous conditions with no hope of finding any safe place to live.

ActionAid pointed out that civilians in the Gaza Strip are facing a new wave of displacement after the occupation forces issued evacuation orders for parts of Rafa'h, which is inhabited by more than a million people, as more than 450,000 civilians were displaced from the city, according to UNRWA, and yet there is no safe place to go.

"There is no space, resources or infrastructure available to accommodate them," ActionAid said.

The organization pointed out that about 4,000 civilians in the West Bank were forced to flee their homes last year, due to colonists' violence, movement restrictions, and demolitions.

Mexico commemorates the 76th anniversary of the Nakba for the Palestinian people

MEXICO CITY, Thursday, May 16, 2024 (WAFA) -

On the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, the Government of Mexico expressed in a statement its solidarity with the people of Palestine and reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the full restoration of humanitarian aid flows to alleviate the suffering of the innocent civilian population and progress towards the establishment of two States.

"Continuing the highest values of our exceptional and fruitful history, Mexico commemorates the Nakba of the Palestinian people, the exodus of more than 700,000 people caused by the 1948 Arab-Israeli war," the statement said.

"Mexico became an independent nation pursuing ideals of equality, freedom and justice. These ideals became our foreign policy principles, which have served to defend our sovereignty, our territorial integrity and our interests. Today, Mexico reiterates that the self-determination of peoples, peaceful settlement of disputes and respect for international law, especially territorial integrity, are basic principles of coexistence among nations and the only path to lasting peace."

"In view of the escalation of violence, it is important to denounce the unacceptable situation in Gaza. Mexico has defended the political, social and territorial rights of the Palestinians in multilateral, regional and bilateral forums. On several occasions, we have asked the UN Security Council to act regarding the violations of international law that are accumulating in the Palestinian territories. Like Palestine, Mexico has experience with walls and border crossings that separate, dehumanize and exclude," the statement added.

"Along with the majority of the UN Member States, Mexico shares the desire to promote a global dialogue on the Palestinian question and its recognition as a UN Member State, an essential step on the path towards a two-State solution. Mexico recalls that different peoples and faiths have coexisted respectfully and closely for centuries in the Eastern Mediterranean. Our country will continue to believe in the possibility of restoring peace and harmony in the region."

Many countries such Qatar, Brazil, Argentina and Sri Lanka commemorated the 76th anniversary of the Nakba through events, exhibitions, and speeches, affirming the right of return for Palestinian refugees, the right to self-determination, and the right of Palestinians to live on their land.

Palestinian farmers attacked by Israeli occupation apartheid regime soldiers near Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), Thursday, May 16, 2024 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation apartheid regime soldiers Thursday morning attacked a number of farmers south of Bethlehem.

Ja'far Al-'Aasi, a 55-year-old farmer, said that an occupation army force attacked him and a number of farmers while they were working on their land of 1,500 dunums, planted with vine trees, in  Wadi Al-Diyar area, adjacent to the illegal colony of Efrat, located on the lands of the town of Al-Khadir.

He added that the occupation threatened them with arrest and seizure of vehicles and agricultural equipment if they returned to working on their land, noting that this is the third time they have been subjected to attacks by occupation soldiers during the grape season this year.

Al-'Aasi pointed out that these lands constitute about 80% of Al-Khadir’s agricultural lands, stressing that the Israeli authorities are trying to empty the lands from farmers, taking advantage of the world’s preoccupation with the aggression against the Gaza Strip.
