While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Following ICJ ruling, Israel escalates attacks on Rafa'h

Saturday 25-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Israeli warplanes launched unprecedented air raids on Rafa'h City in the southern Gaza Strip, moments after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a ruling demanding Israel to halt its aggression against the city of Rafah immediately.

Israeli artillery also bombed the vicinity of Kuwait Specialized Hospital in the center of Rafa'h, shooting at anyone who approaches the center of Rafa'h, while medical crews were prevented from reaching the injured.

Unprecedented air raids were reported on various areas of Rafa'h, especially the city center.

Media sources affirmed that the airstrikes targeted streets and homes in the center of the Shaboura camp in Rafa'h.

Intensive artillery shelling also targeted the vicinity of Al-Najjar Hospital, Khirbet Al-'Adas, Al-Madkhal Street, and Al-Junaina neighborhood in Rafa'h.

This Israeli escalation came a few hours after the ICJ issued a binding decision for Israel to immediately stop its military attack on Rafa'h, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Guterres: The ICJ decisions regarding Rafah are binding

Saturday 25-May-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has recalled that the decisions of the UN International Court of Justice (ICJ) are binding, according to the UN press service’s statement.

“The Secretary-General recalls that, pursuant to the Charter and to the Statute of the Court, decisions of the Court are binding and trusts that the parties will duly comply with the Order from the Court,” the statement said.

Moreover, the UN Secretary-General “will promptly transmit the notice of the provisional measures ordered by the Court to the Security Council.”

Earlier in the day, the ICJ’s ruled that Israel should stop the military offensive in Rafa'h and keep the Rafa'h border crossing open to provide aid to the Palestinian population.

UN top official to transmit ICJ ruling on Israeli aggression on Rafah to UNSC

NEW YORK, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today announced that he would transmit the ICJ ruling on the Israeli aggression on Rafa'h to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Secretary-General Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told the reporters that Guterres would properly transmit the notice of provisional measures ordered by the Court to the UNSC for action.

Dujarric said that Guterres stressed that "decisions of the Court are binding and trusts that the parties will duly comply with the Order from the Court.”

“The Secretary-General recalls that ...decisions of the International Court of Justice are binding, and he trusts that the parties will duly comply with the order from the court," he added.

Following South Africa’s plea, the ICJ has ruled in a 13-2 vote that Israel must immediately halt its military offensive and any other action in Rafa'h and open the Rafa'h border crossing to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the blockaded Strip.

The ICJ also ordered Israel to "ensure the unimpeded access of commissions of inquiry or investigative bodies mandated by the UN to investigate allegations of genocide" and report to the court within a month on its progress in implementing the measures.

The ICJ, whose orders are legally binding but lack direct enforcement mechanisms, stopped short of calling for a full ceasefire today.

ICJ rules Israel immediately halt Rafah offensive and open crossing

THE HAGUE, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) today ruled that Israel must immediately halt its military offensive in Rafa'h and open the Rafa'h crossing to aid.

Following a plea from South Africa, ICJ has ruled in a 13-2 vote that Israel must immediately halt its military offensive and any other action in Rafa'h and open the Rafa'h border crossing to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the blockaded Strip.

ICJ President Nawaf Salam said the humanitarian situation in Gaza was now "disastrous" and said earlier measures issued were insufficient.

"Israel must immediately halt its military offensive and any other action in the Rafa'h governorate which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part," he said, reading out the judgment to the court.

He added that Israel needed to reopen the Rafa'h crossing and "ensure the unimpeded access of commissions of inquiry or investigative bodies mandated by the UN to investigate allegations of genocide."

Judges are "not convinced that the evacuation efforts and related measures that Israel affirms to have undertaken" are "sufficient to alleviate the immense risk" to Palestinians in Rafa'h, Salam said while noting that Israel "has not provided sufficient information concerning the safety of the population during the evacuation process".

Friday 24-May-2024

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), despite Israeli restrictions.

According to the Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), around 40,000 Muslims performed the Friday prayer today at the holy shrine.

Eyewitnesses affirmed that the Israeli police prevented many young men from entering the Mosque for unknown reasons.

The Israeli occupation regime forces also attacked a young man at the Bab Al-Asbat area, one of Al-Aqsa gates.

A heavy contingent of Israeli occupation regime police was deployed at the entrances, surroundings, and alleys of the city, as well as at the external gates of the Mosque, searching many young men and women.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime also imposed more restrictions on West Bankers’ entry to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

Earlier Friday, thousands of Maqdisi Palestinians (Jerusalemites) performed the Fajr prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli security restrictions at its gates.

Mish'al participates in the funeral of the Turkish tourist killed by Israeli gunfire

Friday 24-May-2024

ISTANBUL, (PIC)

The head of 'Hamas’s foreign political bureau, Khalid Mish'al, took part in the funeral of the Turkish tourist, 'Hasan Saclanan, who was killed by the Israeli occupation regime soldiers in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), last month.

“Türkiye has been present at the Zionist-Palestinian conflict for more than 100 years,” Mish'al said during the funeral.

“These are blessed days. These are days that will make glorious history on the path of liberating Palestine and defeating the Zionist project.”

Mish'al hailed the sacrifices made by “the Turkish martyr’s family and Turkish people” in support of the Palestinian cause.

Speaking to the Turkish people, Mish'al said, “the Zionists are our enemies and your enemies. They are a danger to Palestine, to the Arabs, to the Muslims, to Türkiye, to the nation, and indeed to all humanity.”

Mish'al also hailed the steadfastness and strong determination of the Palestinian people in resisting the Zionist project, in defense of their nation and humanity.

Earlier Thursday, thousands of Turks participated in the funeral of  the Turkish tourist 'Hasan Saklanan, who was killed by the Israeli occupation regime soldiers in  Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), who justified the killing by the allegation that he stabbed an Israeli policeman.

Al-Qanou: The Rafa'h crossing is and will always be a Palestinian-Egyptian crossing

Thursday 23-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The spokesman for the 'Hamas Movement, Abdul Lateef Al-Qanou, said in a statement on Thursday that the Rafa'h crossing is and will always be a Palestinian-Egyptian crossing.

“The criminal Zionist occupation regime bears full responsibility for its closure of the Rafa'h crossing as part of its military operation against our Palestinian people,” Al-Qanou added.

He elaborated that the Israeli aggression against Rafa'h has deepened the humanitarian crisis, as a result of banning aid delivery and denying the people of Gaza their right to movement, travel, and receiving treatment abroad.

The Israeli occupation regime army took control over the Rafa'h crossing on May 7 and closed it amid the continuation of its ground invasion of Rafa'h under ongoing genocidal aerial and artillery bombardment.

Communicable diseases, including diarrhea and suspected hepatitis A, are on the rise in Gaza, due to  overcrowded shelters and limited sanitation

Friday 24-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said Thursday there is an increase in communicable diseases in the Gaza Strip, citing the World Health Organization (WHO).

“WHO reports communicable diseases, including diarrhea and suspected hepatitis A, are on the rise in Gaza,” UNRWA wrote on X.

“We need a ceasefire now,” it said, stressing it continues to provide health care, “but overcrowded shelters and limited sanitation due to forced displacement pose severe health risks.”

Israel continued a brutal offensive on the Palestinian enclave despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.

More than 35,700 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, the vast majority being women and children, and nearly 80,000 others have been injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7.

Israeli aggression on Rafah is expanding and 900,000 have been forcibly displaced

Friday 24-May-2024

RAFA'H, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Rafa'h, south of the Gaza Strip, and have penetrated deeper into the city, at a time when the number of internally displaced persons from it has risen to 900,000 displaced along with residents.

Local sources said that the occupation forces continue, for the 18th day, to invade large parts of Rafa'h, noting that the southern areas of the city of Rafah, which are the Brazil neighborhood, the Qashta neighborhood, the Salah al-Din Gate, Block O, and the Yibna refugee camp, are subjected to intense gunfire, violent clashes, and continuous shelling.

The occupation forces penetrated last night to the intersection of the Al-'Amawi restaurant on the outskirts of the Yibna camp, where the area is witnessing violent clashes and intermittent artillery and air strikes.

Israeli tanks also reached the center of the Al-Junainah neighborhood, with the sound of heavy gunfire from helicopter gunships heard in the area, while a citizen was killed and others were injured in the Israeli army targeting of a horse cart at the Keer intersection in the center of Rafa'h.

The occupation forces continued to carry out air strikes, shell houses, and fire artillery shells in various areas of the city.

Meanwhile, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) said that about 900,000 people have been forcibly displaced from the city of Rafa'h, south of the Gaza Strip, due to the ongoing Israeli military operation.

It explained, in a statement on Friday, that the displaced have moved to areas hosting large numbers, which are suffering from lack of services.

The occupation forces began a military operation in the city of Rafa'h, south of the Strip, on the sixth of this month, and called on citizens and the displaced to the eastern areas of the city, to head to the city of Khan Younus, south of the Strip, and then expanded its military operation to include other areas of the city, with continuous intense artillery and missile shelling, by land, air and sea.

On May 5th of this month, the occupation forces completely closed the Karam Abu Salem crossing, southeast of the city of Rafa'h, and prevented the entry of humanitarian and medical aid, and on the seventh of the same month, the occupation forces occupied the Palestinian side of the Rafa'h border crossing, and stopped the flow of aid to the Strip, and they continue to close the two crossings until today.

UNRWA chief says ‘another war’ rages in occupied West Bank

JERUSALEM, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) -

Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), has said an “unnoticed” war is being fought in occupied West Bank where Israeli occupation forces are launching regular attacks to destroy houses, bulldoze roads, and dismantle “basic infrastructure” such as water and electricity.

UN staff, he said, recounted how the Nour Shams refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank was “once a bustling area with markets and life” but has now been hit by the “destruction” of Israeli occupation forces.

He added that Palestinians are sinking into poverty, separation and isolation as their movements are being restricted by Israeli occupation forces.

Any further escalation in the violence and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements, he continued, will push a “peaceful resolution to this decades-long conflict” further away.

World Bank warns Palestinian Authority on the brink of financial collapse

WASHINGTON DC, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) —

The Palestinian Authority is facing the risk of financial collapse, the World Bank says in a new report, as revenue streams run dry and economic activity drops significantly against the backdrop of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

"The fiscal situation of the Palestinian Authority has dramatically worsened in the last three months, significantly raising the risk of a fiscal collapse," the World Bank says in a statement.

"Revenue streams have largely dried up due to the drastic reduction in clearance revenue transfers payable to the Palestinian Authority and a massive drop in economic activity," the report adds.

In the coming months, the Authority's deficit is expected to reach $1.2 billion, doubling the funding gap of $682 million at the end of 2023.

"Increased foreign assistance and the accumulation of further arrears to public employees and suppliers are the only available financing options for the Palestinian Authority," the World Bank says.

The report comes days after ultranationalist Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to cut off the transfer of funds to the Palestinian Authority after the announcement by Norway, Spain and Ireland that they will unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state.

The far-right minister also said he will not extend the indemnity given to Israeli banks that transfer funds to banks in the West Bank, which is due to expire on July 1.

Israel deliberately rendering Gaza's hospitals inoperative, local health authorities warn

GAZA, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) -

Health authorities in the Gaza Strip warned today that the deliberate attacks by Israeli occupation forces on hospitals across the war-torn enclave are aimed at rendering these hospitals inoperative.

The authorities warned that the sole generator supplying electricity to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h, central Gaza, has ceased operation due to fuel depletion, posing a significant health disaster risk for approximately 1.5 displaced people in the region rely on it.

Warnings have also been issued regarding the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafa'h, which is on the verge of ceasing operations due to daily targeting by the Israeli occupation forces.

The health authorities emphasized that hospitals are operating beyond their capacities to cope with the influx of casualties due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, which has been going on for 231 days.

Since this morning, Israeli occupation forces have been advancing towards Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza, besieging medical staff and patients.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital launches distress call

Friday 24-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital’s administration has warned of an imminent health catastrophe unless the hospital is supplied with fuel within the next few hours.

The administration said in a statement on Thursday evening, “We express our deep astonishment and disapproval of the policy of procrastination pursued against the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital. It has been long hours since we contacted the relevant authorities and the World Health Organization, which is responsible for fuel supply to the hospital, but we have received no response.”

“We announce to the world that Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital has a fuel storage capacity estimated at 50,000 liters of fuel, but the quantities being supplied do not exceed one-fifth at best, noting that the hospital needs more than 4,000 liters daily in order to be able to provide health services and appropriate medical care,” the statement added.

The Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital provides medical care and health services to more than 1,200 patients and wounded, including 600 patients with kidney failure, it highlighted.

The hospital appealed to the international community and all international organizations to supply the hospital with 50,000 liters of fuel in the coming hours before a health disaster strikes hundreds of patients and wounded.

Earlier on Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health warned in a press statement that the Hospital which is located in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip was about to be out of service, adding that “the generators of the Hospital would stop in four hours from now.”

US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 231

Friday 24-May-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 231 on Friday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians, especially in northern Gaza.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, amid ongoing attacks in Rafa'h and Jabalya.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) continue their ground invasion of large neighborhoods in Rafa'h, Jabalya, and other parts of northern Gaza amid aerial and artillery bombardment and horrific massacres.

Israeli warplanes bombed an uninhabited house in the Al-Nasr area, northeast of the city of Rafa'h.

Two citizens were killed in an Israeli airstrike west of Al-Zawayida town in central Gaza Strip.

The IOF also targeted ambulance and civil defense crews while recovering injuries and martyrs from the Hamada family home in the northern Gaza Strip.

Two other people were killed in another Israeli airstrike on Al-Nusayrat camp in central Gaza Strip.

Fresh airstrikes were also launched early today on Jabalya.

Local sources reported that the IOF advanced towards Kamal 'Udwan Hospital in Bait Lahya and its surroundings amid heavy gunfire and tightened siege on it.

Israeli warplanes carry out strikes on Rafa'h

GAZA, Friday, May 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

Following an ICJ ruling that ordered Israel to halt its offensive on Rafa'h, Israeli warplanes Friday evening carried out a series of airstrikes on the southern Gaza Strip city.

Israeli fighter jets targeted houses and roads in Rafa'h's ash-Shaboura refugee camp, resulting in a number of casualties.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery targeted the vicinity of the Abu Yousuf Al-Najjar Hospital, Khirbet Al-'Adas and Al-Junaina neighborhood.

The artillery also pounded the eastern parts of Al-Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in a number of casualties.

This aerial and artillery bombardment came just after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) today ruled that Israel must immediately halt its military offensive in Rafa'h and open crossing to aid.

Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 35,800 Palestinians and injuring over 80,200 others.

Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
