By May 26, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 42,984+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (35,984) and those who are still missing under the rubble (Corrected on April 18, 2024: 7,000+). 

By May 26, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 80,643 and more than 2,520 civilians have been abducted from Gaza Strip. 70% of deaths were for children and women.

By May 26, 2024, 519 Palestinians who were killed, 4,391 who were injured, and 8,968, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023 (Some of the detainees have been released).

By May 21, 2023, the Palestinian death toll in Gaza included 15,000+ children (43%).

By March 4, 2023, the death toll also included 13,420+ children, 8,900+ women (more than 72.8% of the accounted for victims), 364 doctors and medical staff, 132 journalists, and 48 civil defense workers. 

By May 25, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them.

By January 17, 2024, about 661 detainees from Gaza are currently languishing in Israeli prisons as “illegitimate combatants” (the Israeli term for Palestinian fighters) in addition to more than 50 women from Gaza, who are detained in the Damon prison, noting that 8 women of whom have been recently released.

By March 4, 2024, the Government Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces killed 493 health personnel and kidnapped 310 others of them (May 25, 2024), destroyed 155 health institutions, 32 hospitals, 53 health centers, 126 ambulances, displaced 1.9 million Palestinians, and destroyed 360,000 housing units, about and 60% of the buildings and infrastructure in Gaza Strip.

GMO reveals latest statistics on Israeli genocidal war on Gaza

The Palestinian Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip revealed on Saturday the latest and most significant figures on the Israeli ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

This announcement comes as the latest updates from the GMO, showing the scale of human and material damage that resulted from the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, on its 120th day.

The statistics demonstrated latest updates on the numbers of martyrs, missing, and wounded people in addition to the sick, displaced and prisoners as well as numbers of damaged structures and infrastructure.

Below are figures released by the GMO about Israel’s violations over the period of 120 days since the start of its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

Spanish Defense Minister: The Gaza war is a real genocide

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles described the war in Gaza as a real genocide, as relations between Israel and Spain deteriorated after Madrid’s decision to recognize the Palestinian state.

Robles’ comments came during an interview with the official TV channel TVE on Saturday, in which she also said “We cannot ignore what is happening in Gaza, which is a real genocide.” She pointed out that Madrid’s recognition of the Palestinian state is not a move against Israel, but rather aims to help end the violence in Gaza.

Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares posted on the X platform, “The precautionary measures taken by the International Court of Justice, which included a decision to suspend the Israeli attack in Rafah, are binding and we demand their implementation.”

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Wednesday that if more countries recognize the Palestinian state, this will increase international pressure to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Díaz said on Friday that “Palestine will be liberated from the river to the sea,” which angered Israel.

Díaz’s statements came in a video clip circulated by activists on social media, in which she explained that Spain’s move to recognize the Palestinian state is just the beginning.

The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister pledged to continue pressing from her position in the government to defend human rights and put an end to the genocide being committed against the Palestinian people.

Díaz, who also holds the position of Minister of Labor and Economy, added: “We are living in a moment where doing the bare minimum is considered heroic, but it is not enough at the same time.”

She concluded her speech by saying, “Palestine will be liberated from the river to the sea,” referring to the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea between which historic Palestine lies.

Detainees Ministry: Gazan prisoners are held in secret jails and subjected to systematic torture

The Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees reported that the Gazan prisoners are held in secret jails where they have been subjected to systematic torture since October 7 last year, amid an unprecedented blackout.

The ministry revealed, in a statement on Saturday, that among the secret prisons in which Gazan detainees are held is the Sde Teiman prison in the Negev, which is well known for its cruel treatment of prisoners.

The ministry elaborated that the investigation process in Sde Teiman prison involves severe beating and various types of torture in addition to denying prisoners the right to communicate with the outside world, especially the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Israeli occupation forces commit several crimes against Palestinian prisoners in general and the Gazans in particular, including crimes that amount to murder, in addition to pursuing sadist policies that impose harsh detention conditions, turning a blind eye to all international and humanitarian norms and regulations,” it said.

The ministry condemned the hideous crimes carried out in Israeli occupation prisons, holding Israel and the US administration fully responsible for such crimes.

It called on the international community and all international, human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities towards this serious issue, calling for opening an international probe into the Israeli crimes against isolated Palestinian prisoners.

The ministry also called for international pressure on Israel to open secret prisons and detention centers before international and human rights groups as well as allowing lawyers to visit Palestinian prisoners and check on their detention conditions.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces continue their genocidal offensive on Rafa'h despite ICJ orders

RAFA'H, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) —

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forces have persisted in their ground onslaught on Rafa'h, south of the Gaza Strip, and the closure of the Karm Abu Salim and Rafa'h border crossings in the Province, disregarding the recent rulings of the International Court of Justice.

The ICJ, the highest judicial body of the United Nations, ordered Israel on Friday to immediately halt its military operations in Rafa'h. The court also emphasized the necessity of keeping the Rafa'h border crossing with Egypt, Gaza's only gateway to the outside world, open to enable the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Under the provisional measures, the court demanded that Israel, in line with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, take concrete actions to ensure access for any United Nations investigation or fact-finding committee to investigate reports of genocide without any hindrance.

In a clear defiance of the court's orders, Israeli occupation forces intensified their aggression on Rafa'h, with warplanes and artillery targeting multiple areas in the city during the last few hours, resulting in the killing of dozens and injuries, including among children, as well as significant destruction to the homes and properties of civilians.

On May 5, 2024, Israeli occupation forces completely closed the Karm Abu Salim crossing southeast of Rafa'h, preventing the entry of humanitarian and medical aid. Additionally, on the seventh of the same month, the Palestinian side of the Rafa'h border crossing was occupied by Israeli forces.

The occupation forces have also prevented life-saving aid and supplies from entering the besieged Gaza Strip for twenty days, exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe and putting civilians face to face with death.

According to medical sources, no patient or wounded person has been able to leave the Gaza Strip since the Palestinian side of the Rafa'h crossing was occupied by the Israeli army, estimated at around 20,000 patients and wounded individuals.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that due to the ongoing military offensive in Rafa'h, it has become difficult to access the UNRWA distribution center and the World Food Program warehouse.

UNRWA explained that displaced people in Gaza have been forced to leave their places six times, and there is no safe place in the Strip with the continued Israeli genocidal airstrikes and shortage of vital supplies.

Around 800,000 people in Rafa'h have been forced to flee since the ground Israeli assault on the city began.

Since the beginning of the ground onslaught launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year, citizens have been ordered by the Israeli occupation army to move from the northern and central parts of the Strip to the south, claiming the area was a "safe zone."

Gaza: Death toll surges to 35,984 martyrs

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed eight massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 81 civilians and injuring over 223 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 304 of them, including 81 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 35,984 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 80,643 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 232

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 232 on Saturday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians, especially in northern Gaza.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, amid ongoing attacks in Rafa'h and Jabalya.

According to media sources, seven civilians, including three children and their parents, and several others were injured, one of them seriously, when the Israeli army bombed a house near a shelter center in Bait 'Hanoun in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army also bombed Al-Nazla School in Al-Saftawi area, north of Gaza, killing 17 displaced civilians and injuring 17 others.

A woman was killed and others were wounded in an Israeli attack on a house belonging to the family of Shuraiti'h in as-Sabra neighborhood, south of the Gaza Strip.

Six other martyrs were evacuated to Al-'Awda Hospital in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp following an Israeli attack near the Wadi Gaza Bridge in central Gaza.

Other casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

Israeli genocidal airstrike kills one, injures several others in Rafa'h

GAZA, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) —

At least one Palestinian was killed and several others injured this afternoon when an Israeli genocidal airstrike hit the home of the Rasras family in central Rafa'h, southern Gaza.

Local sources reported that the attack targeted a home belonging to the Rasras family, causing significant damage and casualties. The wounded were transported to Kuwait Specialized Hospital in the city for medical attention.

The ongoing Israeli military offensive in Rafa'h has intensified, with the Rafa'h border crossing, Gaza's sole gateway to the world, remaining occupied by the Israeli occupation army closed despite international calls for its reopening.

Last Friday, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the highest judicial body of the United Nations, issued an order demanding an immediate halt to Israeli military offensive in Rafa'h and the reopening of the Rafa'h border crossing to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Despite this ruling, Israeli forces have continued their offensive, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Israeli occupation forces shelling kills a Palestinian woman and injures others in Khan Younus

A Palestinian woman was killed and several others were injured today in an Israeli occupation forces artillery strike on the town of 'Abasan, located east of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the shelling targeted a gathering of civilians in 'Abasan, resulting in the killing of the woman and multiple injuries among other residents.  

By May 25, 2024, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023 has so far resulted in 35,903 documented fatalities, with an additional 80,420 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

Casualties across Gaza as Israel goes ahead with its brutal genocidal onslaught

GAZA, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) —

Multiple Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured early this morning and late last night as Israeli occupation forces continued their relentless genocidal  airstrikes targeting several areas across the Gaza Strip.

In Rafa'h, southern Gaza, WAFA correspondent, citing medical sources, said six civilians, including children, were killed and several others were wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Qishta family near the Saddam Junction in the Al-'Adas area, north of the city.

In another strike in southern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted the Yibna refugee camp in central Rafa'h, resulting in injuries and casualties among innocent Palestinian civilians. The casualties were later transported to the Kuwait Specialized Hospital in the city.

Meantime, an Israeli occupation regime warplane targeted a residential apartment in the Iman Tower in Camp 2 in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip. Another airstrike further targeted homes in the downtown area of the camp.

Intense artillery shelling and gunfire from Israeli tanks further targeted the 'Halal Market and Qishta neighborhood in Rafa'h city.

Simultaneously, Israeli artillery launched heavy shelling targeting areas in northern Gaza, while Israeli airstrikes targeted a house in the Bait Lahya Project area in the northern Gaza Strip.

QB: Our fighters captured Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of 'Hamas, announced on Saturday the capture of an unspecified number of Israeli occupation soldiers during an operation in Jabalya refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip.

“Our fighters were able to carry out a complex operation on Saturday afternoon in the northern Gaza Strip, where they lured an Israeli force into one of the tunnels in Jabalya camp, clashed with it at close range, and killed, captured, and wounded its members,” spokesman for the Brigades Abu Obayda said in a recorded statement broadcast by Al Jazeera satellite channel last night.

“The occupation forces are digging among piles of rubble in search for the remains of some of their prisoners, whom they had previously bombed on purpose, and keep throwing thousands of their soldiers into the alleyways of Jabalya and elsewhere to search for corpses, sacrificing their soldiers for the sake of Netanyahu’s personal machinations and his extremist fascist government’s interests,” Abu Obayda said in his statement.

A separate video clip released by Al-Qassam Brigades showed an individual being dragged in a tunnel, purportedly an Israeli occupation soldier, but this has not been yet confirmed.

The video also showcased weapons and equipment seemingly belonging to three Israeli soldiers.

In response, the Israeli occupation army denied the occurrence of an incident where a number of its soldiers were taken prisoners by fighters from Al-Qassam Brigades.

QB fighters bomb two Israeli occupation army tanks, kill soldiers in northern Gaza

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of 'Hamas, said on Saturday its fighters bombed two armored vehicles and killed and injured a number of Israeli soldiers in Jabalya refugee camp, in northern Gaza Strip.

In communiqués, Al-Qassam Brigades said that a group of its fighters attacked two Merkava tanks with Yaseen 105 projectiles near the 'Ali Mosque in the east of the Jabalya refugee camp.

The Brigades added that its fighters also detonated a booby-trapped house in Jabalya camp, killing and injuring the soldiers who were inside it.

A sniper from the Brigades was also able to shoot dead an Israeli occupation soldier in the northeast of Jabalya camp.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed at dawn Sunday different West Bank areas and kidnapped a number of Palestinian citizens, amid violent clashes with resistance fighters.

According to local sources, Israeli troops stormed different neighborhoods of Nablus City and kidnaped a citizen from his home in Huwash street.

The IOFs also stormed the old 'Askar refugee camp in Nablus, deployed snipers on rooftops of some houses, and fired live ammunition and a volley of tear gas canisters and stun grenades during clashes with local youths.

IOFs raids on homes also took place in the Nablus villages of Madama and Tel, where three citizens were reportedly taken prisoners.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces kidnaped two young men from Baitounia town and Al-Am’ari refugee camp.

Clashes took place with local youths during the IOFs raid in Baitounya town.

In Jineen, over 30 IOFs vehicles stormed the city and its refugee camp and patrolled their streets, amid intensive presence of soldiers around hospitals and on rooftops of some buildings.

IOFs reportedly embarked on destroying roads and infrastructure during its raid in Jineen.

Local sources said that resistance fighters clashed with the Israeli forces and attacked them with explosive devices in different neighborhoods of Jineen.

Israeli occupation forces abduct 20 Palestinian civilians in overnight raids across the West Bank

RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) —

 Israeli occupation forces abducted at least 20 Palestinian civilians, including children and former detainees, in a series of raids carried out over the last few hours across the occupied West Bank, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and the Authority of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.

The arrests took place across several governorates of the West Bank, including Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), Ramallah, Nablus, Al-Khaleel (Hebron), Jineen, and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

According to the joint statement, these raids were accompanied by extensive home invasions, abuse, and widespread destruction of property.

The statement also highlighted that since October 7 of the previous year, the total number of Palestinians arrested by Israeli occupation forces has risen to over 8,875. This figure includes those detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those held as hostages.

The statement emphasized that these arrest campaigns are a key systematic policy used by Israeli forces. They serve as a primary tool of collective punishment, which has become central to the occupation's strategy of targeting Palestinians amidst the ongoing aggression on Gaza since October 7.

Illegal Israeli settlers disrupt traffic in northern Jordan Valley

TOUBAS, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) — 

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers gathered today at the intersection of Mehola in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, causing a traffic jam of Palestinian vehicles.

Local sources reported that several illegal Israeli settlers gathered at the junction, impeding traffic of Palestinian vehicles on the main road in the Jordan Valley.

Israeli occupation forces to demolish shops, bridge linking Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)-area towns

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) — 

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday gave out notices of demolition of commercial shops on the road linking the Jaba' and Qalandya military checkpoints, north of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), and a bridge linking the towns of Jaba' and Al-Ram.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces handed demolition notices to the owners of a number of shops and facilities located on the targeted street.

They added that the demolition notices included the Jaba' Bridge, which is located above the targeted street and connects the towns of Jaba' and Al-Ram, aiming to widen the street located between the two aforementioned checkpoints to facilitate the passage of colonists from occupied Jerusalem to the colonies established in the West Bank.

They also noted that the Israeli authorities completed the construction of a tunnel under the Qalandya military checkpoint to become a main colonial road linking Jerusalem to the West Bank that is used only by the colonists, while the checkpoint remains in place to obstruct the passage of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Media advisor to the Jerusalem Governor, Ma'rouf Al-Rifa-i, said that dozens of shops were notified for demolition, including the Jaba' Bridge, with the aim of expanding the street to serve the colonists.

He added that the occupation claims that there is no license even though the shops belong to Al-Ram municipality and have Palestinian building permits, noting that they are located in the area classified as “B”, which are old shops built decades ago.

Al-Rifa-i explained that the demolition operations aim to expand a colonial road that will connect Street "60" with the West Bank settlements to Jerusalem, to facilitate the passage of the colonists and to tighten the pressure on Palestinians.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under Israeli occupation apartheid regime police protection

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) —

Groups of illegal Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) this morning under Israeli police protection.

Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of colonists made their way into Al-Aqsa through the Moroccan Gate, conducted provocative tours, and performed Talmudic rituals throughout the courtyards of the mosque.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police stationed at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque prevented several Palestinian citizens from entering, resulting in a significant decline in the number of worshippers.

This incident coincides with preparations by thousands of colonists to storm Al-Shaikh Jarra'h neighborhood in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) this evening to celebrate the Jewish Torch Festival. The illegal Israeli settlers plan to mark the event in and around a cave they claim contains the tomb of "Simeon the Just."

Residents of the neighborhood reported that since Saturday evening, mobs of the illegal Israeli settlers have been provoking the residents under the pretext of celebrating the festival, accompanied by loud music that continued late into the night.

The neighborhood committee stated that Shaikh Jarra'h has been completely closed off since Sunday morning, restricting movement within its streets to facilitate the settler activities. The open land in the neighborhood has been seized and cleared in preparation for the celebration.

Residents expressed their concerns, feeling imprisoned in their homes amidst the heavy presence of hundreds of Israeli police officers and facing provocations and assaults by the colonists. They are particularly worried about their homes and safety as the illegal Israeli settlers, many armed, arrive in the neighborhood.

The residents voiced concerns for their children and young men, fearing attacks from both the illegal Israeli settlers and the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police.
