While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesman:

Gaza ceasefire to come into effect Sunday morning

Saturday 18-January-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, and the Israeli occupation apartheid regime will come into effect on Sunday, January 19, at 08:30 a.m. local time in Gaza, Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesman announced in a post on X.

“We advise our brothers to take precautions, exercise utmost caution and wait instructions from official sources,” spokesman for the ministry Majed al-Ansari said on Saturday.

Israel’s security cabinet approved on Friday evening a deal with Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza after more than 460 days of genocidal war in which the Israeli occupation army has killed more than 46,788 Palestinians and wounded 110,453 others.

Israel’s government has approved the new Gaza ceasefire and prisoner release deal with Hamas, paving the way for it to take effect on Sunday.

The Israeli decision came after hours of discussions that continued late into the night. 24 ministers in Netanyahu’s coalition government voted in favor of the deal while eight others opposed it.

Under the deal, the ceasefire starts with an initial six-week phase where captives in Gaza are released in exchange for Palestinians detained in Israeli jails.

According to the Hebrew media, Hamas has demanded a lull in the Gaza Strip for 48 hours before the agreement enters into force on Sunday in order to be able to facilitate the handover of prisoners on the first day.

The Hebrew media quoted Israeli official sources as saying that the release of the first group of Israeli captives in Gaza may start at 04:00 p.m. on Sunday.

After the ceasefire was ratified by the Israeli cabinet, Israeli ministry of justice released an updated list of 737 Palestinian detainees slated to be freed in the first phase of the agreement, which will also take place “not before” 04:00 p.m. on Sunday. This list includes 95 women and children who are being held in Israeli jails.

Another group of 1,000 Palestinian prisoners, who were kidnaped by Israeli forces from Gaza during the war, would be released in the first phase. They could be under age 19.

In a related context, the Asra Media Office (AMO) has said that the published Israeli list of the Palestinian prisoners slated for release in the first phase of the hostage deal is a procedure that concerns the Israelis.

In a statement on Saturday, AMO explained that the mechanism for releasing prisoners in the first stage of the agreement is linked to the number of the Israeli captives intended for release and their categories.

AMO added that lists containing the names of the prisoners would be published ahead of each exchange day in accordance with a mechanism agreed upon by the parties.

The lists of the Palestinian prisoners include several members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Palestinian Authority’s ruling Fatah Movement. Some of the detainees are serving life sentences, according to different media sources.

“The occupation has failed to achieve its aggressive goals, and only succeeded in committing appalling war crimes,” 'Hamas added.

“The blood of our people, who were martyred in the genocidal war, will not go in vain and will not be forgotten. The enemy’s leaders and soldiers will be held accountable and prosecuted no matter how long it will take,” the Movement stressed.

Palestinian Ministry of Interior announces it will begin deployment in Gaza governorates once the ceasefire agreement takes effect

Saturday 18-January-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza announced on Saturday that its agencies will begin deployment in all governorates of the Gaza Strip and fulfill their “sacred duty to serve our people as soon as the ceasefire agreement takes effect.”

In a statement, the ministry indicated that this step comes in light of “the legendary steadfastness of our Palestinian people in all their components and spectrums during this historical epic, following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement to end the Israeli war of extermination and aggression against our people.”

The ministry congratulated the Palestinian people in general, and particularly in the Gaza Strip, on the ceasefire agreement that ends the Israeli occupation’s war “initiated against our people in the Strip over 15 months ago, during which it committed various crimes that shame humanity.” This brutal war is the greatest crime committed against an unarmed people in modern times, it added.

The ministry mourned the tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens who fell as martyrs in this brutal war, praying that “Allah grants their families patience and solace, and that He bestows a swift recovery on the injured and wounded, and freedom for the prisoners in the occupation’s jails.”

The ministry emphasized that the legendary steadfastness of the people in the Gaza Strip has thwarted all the goals of the criminal extermination war, reaffirming that “our people are more deserving of survival and building the future for their generations than a barbaric occupation that will inevitably fade away.”

It added, “The blood of our children, women, and the innocent will remain a stain on the conscience of humanity, which will never be erased no matter how much time passes, and it will remain a witness to the barbarity of the occupation and its supporters, and the rightful claim of our Palestinian people to their land, watered with the blood of their sons.”

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior and National Security noted that in this historical epic recorded by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the finest of its leaders and members offered their lives in the service of the steadfast people. Despite the brutality of the aggression, its harshness, and its transgressions of all prohibitions, norms, and humanitarian and international laws, the leaders, officers, and members of the ministry’s agencies fulfilled the oath they took to serve their people and homeland, and their blood and souls stand as new evidence of their true belonging and loyalty to this great people.

It pointed out that the occupation focused on targeting the Ministry of Interior and National Security, attempting to undermine one of the factors of the Palestinian people’s resilience in the face of aggression. Despite the heavy price the ministry paid in the loss of its best leaders and members, it continued to work with all available means under extremely complicated circumstances while confronting the occupation’s plans to spread chaos and disorder within Palestinian society in the Strip, it added.

Finally, the ministry called on all citizens to maintain public and private property and to avoid any actions that may endanger their lives. It urged them to cooperate with the officers and members of the police, security, and service agencies, in the interest of their safety and security, and encouraged them to adhere to all directives and instructions that will be issued by the relevant authorities in the ministry’s agencies in the coming days.

- 10-1-2009: The Israeli occupation released twenty Palestinian female prisoners from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in exchange for obtaining information about the condition of the soldier "Shalit" who was captured by the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip on June 25, 2006, by obtaining a two-minute video tape showing "Shalit" in good health, and this "video tape" deal was considered part of the negotiations to complete the grand deal.

- 10-18-2011: The "Wafa al-Ahrar" exchange deal that took place between the Palestinian factions holding the Israeli soldier "Gilad Shalit" and the occupation government under Egyptian sponsorship, according to which "Shalit" was released, who had been held by the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip since June 26, 2006, in exchange for the release of 1027 male and female prisoners who were held in its prisons and detention centers, including 994 male prisoners and 33 female prisoners. According to local resident Rabee' Abu Na'eem, a number of colonists broke into the Khalayil area of Al-Mughayyir under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, who were present in the region. The colonists fired live ammunition into the air during the incursion.

Abu Na'eem also reported the presence of additional groups of colonists on the surrounding mountain hills near Al-Mughayyir. As of now, no reports of physical attacks or casualties have been confirmed.

Warning against the Israeli attempts to end the UNRWA mission, Lazzarini says:

Dismantling UNRWA would undermine Gaza ceasefire agreement

Saturday 18-January-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

UNRWA has warned that Israeli attempts to end its mission “will be catastrophic,” massively weakening the humanitarian response and worsening Palestinian living conditions.

This came in press remarks made to reporters by UNRWA commissioner-general Philippe Lazzarini following a closed-door briefing to the UN Security Council on Friday.

Lazzarini addressed the reporters to stress that the agency’s disintegration would “immeasurably” worsen the already catastrophic living conditions of Palestinians in Gaza.

Lazzarini disputed the Israeli government’s claim that UNRWA’s services can be transferred to other entities.

“UNRWA’s ability to directly provide education and primary healthcare far exceeds that of any other entity,” Lazzarini said. “These services can only be transferred to a functioning state. UNRWA’s personnel and services are also tightly woven into the social fabric of Gaza. The disintegration of the agency will intensify the breakdown of social order.”

Lazzarini also warned that dismantling the 30,000-member UNRWA outside a political process would undermine the ceasefire agreement and sabotage Gaza’s recovery and political transition.

“A chaotic dismantling of UNRWA will irreversibly harm the lives and future of Palestinians,” Lazzarini said. “It will obliterate their trust in the international community and any solution it attempts to facilitate.”

The UNRWA chief said a ceasefire in Gaza must be followed by a political transition that includes an orderly conclusion of UNRWA’s General Assembly mandate and the handover of its services to empowered Palestinian institutions.

“In the West Bank, the Palestinian Authority has stated clearly that it does not have the financial resources or capacity to compensate for the loss of UNRWA’s services,” he pointed out.

He welcomed the ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal in Gaza, and said he joined the UN Secretary-General in calling on all parties to ensure the deal is fully implemented.

“We need rapid, unhindered and uninterrupted humanitarian access to respond to the tremendous suffering in Gaza,” he said. “We are ready to support the recovery of Gaza by resuming education and continuing to provide primary healthcare.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
