While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

EU Commissioner: We firmly reject any attempt at demographic changes in Gaza

Tuesday 11-March-2025

BRUSSELS, (PIC)

The European Union High Commissioner, Kaja Kallas, firmly rejects any attempt at demographic or territorial changes in the Gaza Strip.

Kallas also welcomed the Arab Recovery and Reconstruction plan recently presented at the Cairo Summit and adopted also by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

“It is a serious plan for discussions on the future of Gaza and we will be discussing these ideas with our Arab partners,” she said.

“We support a future State of Palestine with Gaza as an integral part of it. And we will work with the international community in rebuilding Gaza.”

She further insisted that the delivery of humanitarian aid should not be politicized or conditional.

“Any and all blockades to delivery of aid at scale must be lifted.”

UNRWA chief warns of ‘deepening hunger’ in Gaza

Tuesday 11-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has warned that the situation in Gaza is “deteriorating very, very quickly”, more than a week after Israel again halted all supplies from entering the Gaza Strip.

“Whatever the intent is, it’s clearly a weaponing of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” Lazzarini said on Monday.

“It is critical that humanitarian aid is allowed into Gaza again to maintain the progress made during the first phase of the ceasefire and meet people’s basic needs,” he said, adding that there remains a risk of returning to the “deepening hunger” seen before the recent ceasefire.

Lazzarini told journalists that “a fierce disinformation campaign”, legislation outlawing UNRWA in Israel’s parliament and “the suspension of funding by key donors” have taken a toll on the agency.

He warned that UNRWA cannot be allowed to “implode.”

“Collapse would create a dangerous vacuum in the occupied Palestinian territory and send shockwaves through Jordan, Lebanon and Syria,” Lazzarini said.

“An environment in which children are deprived of education, and people lack access to basic services, is fertile ground for exploitation and extremism,” he said.

“This is a threat to peace and stability in the region and beyond.”

The agency’s financial situation is also “critical and precarious”, Lazzarini added.

'Hamas warns of potential famine in Gaza

Tuesday 11-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has warned of a potential famine in the Gaza Strip as the Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IORA) persists in closing the border crossings and preventing the entry of aid for the 10th consecutive day.

In a statement on Tuesday, 'Hamas described the Israeli blockade on Gaza as “collective punishment” and “political blackmail,” warning that such policies would exacerbate the suffering of more than two million Palestinians in Gaza.

'Hamas also called the Israeli blockade a “stark violation of the international humanitarian law and the Geneva conventions” and a “war crime that threatens the lives of innocent civilians.”

The Movement appealed to the mediators to pressure the IOAR to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to immediately reopen the crossings to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid.

Thousands of Americans rally in New York to protest the illegal arrest of the Columbia University Palestinian student, Ma'hmoud Khaleel, for advocating pro-Palestinian positions

Tuesday 11-March-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

Thousands of demonstrators rallied on Monday, March 9, 2025, in New York City to demand the release of Ma'hmoud Khaleel, a Columbia University student who was detained by immigration agents on allegations of organizing and participating in anti-Semitic activities (criticism of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip).

Khaleel, who is a green card holder, was arrested at the behest of US president Donald Trump, who threatened to deport him from the country because he advocates pro-Palestinian positions that his administration opposes.

Pro-Palestinian protesters have repeatedly affirmed there is nothing anti-Semitic about criticizing Israel over its actions in Gaza or expressing solidarity with Palestinians and calling for a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, activists have launched an online petition to gather signatures demanding the release of Khaleel. So far, over two million citizens have signed the petition.

However, a federal judge in New York blocked any efforts by Trump’s administration to deport Khaleel.

Judge Jesse Furman said Khaleel is to remain in the US “to preserve the court’s jurisdiction” as the court weighs a filing challenging his arrest and planned deportation. A hearing was scheduled for Wednesday at a federal court in New York.

Khalil, who helped lead Columbia’s peaceful student protests demanding a ceasefire in Gaza, was arrested Saturday night by federal immigration authorities, which claimed they were acting on a State Department order to revoke his green card, according to the student’s lawyer.

His arrest was widely condemned by US Congress members and civil organizations as a violation against the right of free speech enshrined in the Constitution.

Israel launches airstrikes on Syrian military sites in Dar'a

Tuesday 11-March-2025

DAMASCUS, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation regime warplanes conducted on Monday evening airstrikes targeting Syrian army weapons, tanks, and military equipment, in the southern Dar'a governorate.

According to Aljazeera TV channel, Israeli warplanes hit the artillery battalion of the 89th Regiment in the town of Jubab and weapons depots in the 12th Brigade in the city of Izra in Daraa countryside.

Israeli channel 14 reported that Israeli fighter jets bombed surveillance platforms and Syrian army tanks, north of Dar'a.

The Syrian army has yet to issue an official statement on the Israeli raids and estimates of material or human damage.

Since the fall of the deposed Syrian President Bashar A-Assad on December 8, 2024, Israel has launched hundreds of raids on military sites across the country.

The Israeli occupation forces have since then been carrying out several incursions into the governorates of Qunaitra and Dar'a in southern Syria. Taking advantage of the Assad regime’s collapse, Israel occupied the buffer zone and expanded into its vicinity and scrapped the 1974 border agreement with Syria.

Shadeed: All pressure must be exerted to stop Netanyahu’s crimes in West Bank and Gaza

Tuesday 11-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, said that the Israeli occupation continues its criminal policies throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.

“The Israeli occupation is continuing its criminal politics, including killing, displacing, demolishing, arresting citizens, and committing the most heinous forms of brutal torture against them, while continuing to close the Gaza Strip’s crossings, preventing aid and food supplies, and cutting off electricity for the tenth consecutive day,” the Movement’s leader, Abdul Ra'hman Shadeed, said in a press conference on Tuesday.

Shadeed called on mediators to exert all pressure on Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu and his government to abide by the ceasefire terms, open the crossings, and allow entry of aid supplies.

The senior Hamas official pointed out that a fresh round of Gaza ceasefire talks began on Tuesday in the Qatari capital Doa'ha, with the Palestinian Movement approaching the negotiations “positively and responsibly”.

“A new round of ceasefire negotiations began today,” Shadeed added. “Our Movement is dealing with these negotiations positively and responsibly.”

“We hope that the current round of negotiations leads to tangible progress toward beginning the second phase,” Shadeed said.

He also expressed hope that US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff would help “initiate negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.”

“The US administration bears responsibility due to its unwavering support for the occupying Israeli government,” Shadeed concluded.

Israeli occupation army kills six Palestinians in Gaza, on March 10, 2025

Tuesday 11-March-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Six Palestinian citizens were martyred in Israeli attacks in Rafa'h and Gaza City on Tuesday, March 10, 2025.

Spokesman for the civil defense service Ma'hmoud Basal said that an Israeli airstrike targeted a group of citizens in the Netzarim corridor in the south of Gaza City, killing five citizens, including two brothers.

Earlier, paramedics said that four citizens were martyred and others were injured in an Israeli drone attack in the east of Gaza City before one of them succumbed to his injuries.

In the morning, a citizen was also killed when an Israeli drone opened fire at him in Al-Showka town, east of Rafa'h in southern Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces also carried out gunfire and artillery attacks in different areas of Khan Younus.

Yesterday, four citizens, including three brothers, were killed in an Israeli strike in the eastern area of 'Abasan town in Khan Younus.

During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of 32 martyrs, who were reported missing during the war, as well as four citizens who were killed in fresh Israeli attacks.

According to Gaza’s health ministry on Monday, 14 citizens were also injured during Israeli attacks or by unexploded ordnance during the past hours.

The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to 48,503 martyrs, the health ministry stated.

The ministry added that the number of the wounded also surged to 111,927 people.

UNICEF: Severe shortage of safe water in Gaza affects 90% of the population

Tuesday 11-March-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has warned that severe water shortages in the Gaza Strip have reached critical levels, with only one in 10 people currently able to access safe drinking water, a total of 90 percent of the population.

The UNICEF official in Gaza, Rosalia Poulin, said on the organization’s website that 600,000 people regained access to drinking water in November 2024, only to be cut off again.

UN agencies estimate that 1.8 million people, more than half of whom are children, are in urgent need of water, sanitation, and health assistance, stressing that the situation deteriorated further after the Israeli decision to cut off electricity to the Strip, disrupting vital desalination operations.

Earlier, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, condemned the Israeli authorities’ cutting off the electricity supply to the Gaza Strip.

She said in a statement posted on her account on X, “Genocide alert! “Israel’s cutting of electricity to Gaza means no functioning desalination plants and therefore no clean water”.

On March 2, Hebrew media said Israel intends to start implementing an escalation plan against Gaza within a week, including cutting electricity and water, carrying out assassinations, re-deporting Palestinians from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip and resuming the war.

Israel stopped the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip last Sunday, amid local and human rights warnings that the Palestinians will return to famine.

In early March, the first phase of the 42-day ceasefire agreement in Gaza officially ended without Israel agreeing to enter the second phase and end the war.

Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu wants to extend the first phase of the exchange deal to release as many Israeli captives in Gaza as possible, without offering any compensation or completing the military and humanitarian obligations stipulated in the ceasefire agreement during the past period, to satisfy the extremists in his government.

'Hamas rejects this, demanding that Israel abide by the agreement and calling on the mediators to immediately begin negotiations for the second phase, which includes an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and a complete cessation of the war.

The Red Crescent said that its paramedics evacuated a 60-year-old woman from Al-Jalamah checkpoint in Jineen.

The Red Crescent added that the IOFs prevented one of its ambulances from entering the eastern neighborhood of Jineen City to evacuate a wounded young man.

In the western area of Jineen City, the IOFs encircled the Lavender venue in Haifa street and ordered young men to leave it. There was no information about their exposure to detention.

Last night, the Red Crescent said that its paramedics provided first aid for four citizens suffering from bullet injuries in Al-Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, before evacuating them to hospitals.

The Red Crescent also provided medical assistance for a wounded young man after Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted him in 'Azzoun town, east of Qalqilya.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap owner of Educational Bookshop in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), March 11, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Tuesday the owner of the Educational Bookshop on Sala'huddeen Street in the occupied city of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), according to Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate.

It reported that the occupation forces raided the Educational Bookshop for the second time in just a month, rounded up its owner, 'Imad Muna, and took him for investigation.

The raid occurred exactly one month after the release from Israeli prison of Ma'hmoud and A'hmad Muna, following the previous assault on the Bookshop.

After an hour and a half of conducting a raid of the shop, once again using Google Translate to discern the meaning of the titles on the shelves, the occupying forces confiscated dozens of books, arrested the owner Muna, 61, and took him to the Israeli police station on Sala'huddeen Street. They closed the shop door and took the keys to the Bookshop, without issuing a closure order. They refused to explain what law had been violated or the reason for Muna's arrest. No arrest warrant or search warrant was provided.

It is worth noting that the Educational Bookshop was opened 38 years ago on Sala'huddeen Street in occupied Jerusalem, and over the years it has become one of the most important bookshops in Palestine, and in Jerusalem in particular, as it is a destination for diplomats, journalists, researchers and students.

The Bookshop won the Best Library Award for 2011 in Palestine, and the third best library in the Middle East by the Lonely Planet and BBC in London.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime police kidnap dozens of West Bank workers in the Triangle area

TIRA, March 11, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime police kidnapped Tuesday 40 Palestinian workers from the city of Teera, located in the Triangle area in the 1948 Territories.

The workers, all holders of West Bank identity cards, were detained under the pretext of residing without permits.

They entered the area looking for employment opportunities for their families' livelihood.

This incident is part of a larger pattern, whereby hundreds of Palestinian workers have been recently detained and harassed by Israeli police purportedly for lacking entry permits.

Even those Palestinian workers who possess valid permits face significant challenges on their way to their workplaces in the 1948 Territories. They often leave their houses in the predawn hours and have to wait in long queues for hours and are subjected to inspections at Israeli checkpoints before being allowed to proceed to their workplaces.

A World Bank report indicated that approximately 150,000 workers from the West Bank have lost their jobs in the 1948 Territories due to tightened restrictions in place since October 2023.

Kuwait condemned Tuesday the Israeli occupation's decision to cut off electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces’ practices and the use of the policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.

It slammed the decision to cut off electricity as a violation of the most basic rights and the principles of international law and international humanitarian law.

Kuwait renewed its call on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to intervene immediately to halt the violations committed by the occupation forces, allow the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid, and oblige Israel, the occupying power, to refrain from the policy of starvation and deprivation against Palestinians.

UNICEF and Japanese government sign $3.8 million agreement to improve health and nutrition services

JERUSALEM, 11 March 2025 (WAFA) -

UNICEF and the Government of Japan Monday signed a US$ 3.8 million agreement to improve the health and nutrition services for vulnerable children and women in the State of Palestine, according to the Representative Office of Japan to Palestine.

The Representative Office said in a press statement that the agreement was signed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to launch the project “Improving Access to Health and Nutrition Services for Vulnerable Children and Women” in the State of Palestine at the Ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah in the presence of Minister Magid Abu Ramadhan.

It added that the initiative aims to provide critical primary health care and nutrition services to approximately 180,000 children, women, and families in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank over the next 12 months.

The agreement was signed by Araike Katsuhiko, Ambassador of Japan for Palestinian Affairs and Jean Gough, UNICEF Representative in the State of Palestine.

According to the statement, the project will focus on revitalizing primary health care services, improving access to antenatal and postnatal care, managing childhood illnesses, and delivering critical nutrition interventions. It will also support the training of 300 health professionals and the establishment of four mobile health teams to reach hard-to-access communities.

The Ambassador of Japan Katsuhiko reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people: “This support symbolizes the solidarity of the Government of Japan and its people with the Palestinian people. It also reflects our commitment to continuing to contribute to efforts that bring about lasting peace in Palestine and in its neighboring countries.”

Aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), this Project will contribute to strengthening the resilience of health systems in the region. Through close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local partners, the initiative will enhance the quality of health services and support community-based interventions to address malnutrition among children and pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Minister of Health Abu Ramadan welcomed the signing of the agreement and expressed the Ministry’s appreciation for both the Government of Japan and UNICEF for offering ongoing support to Palestinians, especially children.

“This agreement represents a vital step in enhancing health services, especially for women and children who are facing increasing challenges due to the difficult humanitarian conditions we are experiencing as a result of the occupation,” Abu Ramadan said.

He also emphasized that the agreement aligns with the Ministry’s plan to improve the quality of primary healthcare, expand service coverage to reach remote areas, and provide essential medical care that citizens urgently need. He reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation with partners to ensure the effective implementation of this project and to achieve the maximum benefit for the Palestinian people.

Underscoring the need for this project, the Representative Office said that “the Gaza Strip continues to face dire conditions, including a severe shortage of medical supplies, food, and water, and widespread displacement due to conflict. In the West Bank, increased militarized operations have strained health services and impacted access to care for thousands of families.”

Jean Gough, UNICEF Representative in the State of Palestine, expressed her deep thanks to the Government and people of Japan: “Today’s agreement marks a significant step forward in our efforts to ensure that every child and mother in the State of Palestine has access to the essential health and nutrition services they need,” she said. “Thanks to the generous support of the Government and people of Japan, this project will provide life-saving services to those who need it most, especially in the challenging contexts of Gaza and the West Bank.” She added.

The UNICEF and the Government of Japan affirmed their commitment to transparency and accountability in the implementation of this project. Regular monitoring and evaluation will ensure that the project delivers measurable and sustainable impacts on the health and well-being of children and families in Palestine.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
